6499red Posted April 4, 2021 Share Posted April 4, 2021 (edited) [FM20] Barnacle Bill – Corfe Castle FC I have begun as Corfe Castle manager, after applying for the jobs in my local league (Dorset Premier Football League) and choosing them on the merits of their cool badge and unique location. I’ve added the logos of the teams in my league to the game too. Credit Paul Paxton via Pre - Season A rather indifferent run of friendlies to begin the season, it seems. Although at least we have shown our scoring pedigree against teams of the same level to us. Furthermore, we were 4-1 up vs Paulsgrove before putting on all the kids and messing about with tactics. I always tend to have teams that concede a lot but also score a lot. Hopefully, I will be back with an update soon! 6499red Posted April 4, 2021 Share Posted April 4, 2021 [FM20] Barnacle Bill – Corfe Castle FC Mid-Season 2019-20 update/interesting tidbits I found out our admission price is only £1, which I suppose is not that surprising – but there are clubs in our league charging £5 per game! The players I brought in are now really finding their rhythm, hopefully we win the league at a canter given that the game thinks many of them would be leading level 10 players! Our only loss so far this season has been to Gillingham, who are really keeping pace with us so far, It seems they have also bought in swathes of real players, like me, who seem to be far better than the players the game created for our teams. I think this is the first time I have had an entire team of the week be my players – although it came after a 9-1 drubbing of Bridport’s reserves and beating Merley Cobham Sports 6-0! Looking forward to the youth intake, although even a wonderkid could struggle to break into the squad, given that GK is our strongest player currently. Speedyol Posted April 9, 2021 Share Posted April 9, 2021 I didnt know about this challenge, but I started a save that follows all the rules listed, Except I used a database called "E20 - England Level 16 with Jersey & Guernsey teams 1.0." I hope the 2 databases have the same competitions and league systems. I Manage Heswall F.C. "The Yellows", (they have a website). They where a Ameatur team, where no players had any salary and no apperance fees or anything bonus pay. All staff including myself had no wages. I use a skin but I use "dark mode" skin that is included in the base game. I started at level 12, instead of 11 but I hope that is ok, I dont need points for the first promotion. Patrick69 Posted April 16, 2021 Share Posted April 16, 2021 We managed to win the Nottinghhamshire Senior League Premier Division after playing 26 matches (won 25 / lost 1) with a total of 75 points. We scored 96 goals and conceded 24 goals. As we still needed tp play 6 matches, our stats in this first season could get even better. Patrick69 Posted April 26, 2021 Share Posted April 26, 2021 (edited) My 2nd season at AFC Dunkirk has ended and we won 2 prices. In the East Midlands Counties League, we were the strongest team. We won 31 matches en 7 ended in a draw. We domated this league completely and ended the season with a total of 100 points, we scored 99 goals and conceded 23 goals. So we won promotion to the United Counties League Premier Division. Last season we were not able to play a role in the Cup as we were quicly eliminated. This season we did a lot better and won the East Midlands Counties League Cup by winning the Finals against Heanors Town by 3-2 and lifted this Cup. You should not really be going into the combined counties league from where you are based but this is something that happens from time to time on the game.
