[Suggestion] Horizontal team dashboard

The pitch is simple: unless one decides to shorten his squad down to 11 players, or 16 players; there's always turnover to be had from one game to the next one.

Whether it's to rotate and share playing minutes between the two right backs, or decide which of the striker down the pecking order misses out on the matchday squad because only a few are gonna start/start on bench.

In real life of coaching, those are the things that require attention as players need minutes not to lose match fitness (it's rare to see fit players meant to be involved that miss out on matchdays squads several times in a row, or aren't playing for the B team).

Coaches all have dashboards, sometimes automated, sometimes on a spreadsheet filled manually, sometimes even on a magnetic board filling the whole of the wall in the office with the old erasable marker!

When playing the game, and specifically when you don't burn hours straight on the game, it would be useful to have a quick perspective of where the team is at.

The combination of Last Match Rating (LMR), Last 5 games chart and Average Rating (not included here) already offers the opportunity to see who had a good game, who had a mare or who's on a good run of performances.

I feel that what follows would allow to go a little bit further
The idea is to get a horizontal dashboard to monitor player performances per game, and specifically minutes played. It could of course be used to visualize other numbers (anything that the game engine captures).

Preferably horizontally if one is to read from side to side. The rows would be the player list, and the columns would be the games on schedule for any particular team (First Team, B team, U19...)

So that we could look at the whole team in one glance, and not just one player at a time from bottom to top via the Report / Form section on a player profile. Even using the shortcut (click on the Last 5 Games chart), one would have to check every player individually for say, shots on target, before making up his mind about which striker to select.

See in instance on the left table: Player A plays every game, player C has been mostly peripheral to the matchday squad (and only came in twice as a sub, hence the green)

On the right hand table: Player B is on a good goalscoring run. Player E had a 4 game goal drought.

Of course, being able to sort every column would be really good too. To sort players by position, or possibly per metric on a specific game.

In a nutshell

  • Minutes played with a color gradient (I've used the FM purple loosely here). Possibly full 90' in bold ?
  • Different colours for players who come on. Or frame in red those who had to come off after 20' due to injury. Or sent off.
  • The same tags as the squad section. Injured (with a link to the impressive "Medical Section" ?) / Banned / Non available...
  • Add "not in the matchday squad" and "unused sub" tag. or "didn't join the club yet"

Otherwise, many thanks and congratulations for the work for yet another succesful edition of the game in that challenging year (with spare time to fill somehow...) :applause:
