dzponce11
Hi, so I’m trying to manage Austin FC in the MLS, and even though I have over $100MM available to shift around, I’m not allowed to offer any player more than $1.3MM in salary. I was aware that MLS has a DP rule, but how do I make this work?
Harry Dunning
Hi @dzponce11, Thanks for contacting us. Apologies but could you be slightly more specific about your issues here with the MLS please? Cheers, Harry
dzponce11
Yes. So the issue is that no matter how much money my club has, I am not allowed to offer any amount more than $1.38MM in wages, regardless of how much I shift around the budget. According to my understanding of the MLS rules, I should be able to have three players designated to exceed the wage rules of the league. My club currently has $200MM+ in payroll availability, so it shouldn’t be an issue of bank balance. hoboken16
Question for the OP.....Do you have at least 615K in salary cap space? I was going to mention I had the same issue but I just remembered that I need to create some cap space as I'm 100K short
dzponce11
@hoboken16yeah, I checked. I have over $11MM in salary room, so that’s not the issue.
