(FM21) Does having the workload of training categories on light, average or heavy effect the effectiveness of your training?

Does having the workload of training categories on light, average or heavy effect the effectiveness of your training?

So ideally you want all on "light"? Would this get better results?

Ideally you would want workload on average or light, a heavy load will effect the effectiveness of training, but id like to know from someone more in the know how much it effects training vs the star rating.

It's a balancing act between injuries and morale.  Too heavy or too light workloads can make players unhappy and over training can cause injuries.  Unhappy players don't train as well as happy players and injured players don't train at all.  So try to balance their training workload so as to keep players happy and as injury free as possible.

Some players will be able to handle heavier workloads than others due to their personality and injury proneness, so you can't really apply one strategy across the board.

i thought if the workload is on Light it just means the coaches/player ratio is lower? which in turn will improve training performance. i thought when players complain about light training, that just means they want more sessions or higher intensity?

If a coaches workload is light, yes its a good thing it means they have plenty of time to train the players and their time isn't spread too thin.

Think herne is referring to an individual players workload, a heavy workload obviously means more chance of injury and tiredness.

Ah i see, yes my post is mainly about the coaches work load. I would assume it will get better results if each coach has their workload on low. To achieve this you need to have either a small squad and a decent amount of coaches, or a big squad and lots of coaches. Im also curious if anyone has every done any kind of testing to see if the difference is big.

Some questions:
1. When it comes to "Unhappy players", do you mean the general "unhappy with training" messages, or "does not feel the individual training is beneficial"? Or both?
2.  What if an unhappy player's training ratings are high? Should we still try to make it better, or does he "just not know what is good for him"?
3. Are there any instances when you should not listen to them? F. ex linked to bad personalities.

1. Morale.

2. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

3. Players with bad personalities tend to moan more.  Always check anyone's development progress over time before making any changes.

Overall, if players are developing and you are happy with that development, consider not making changes.  You may be able to squeeze a bit better training performance out of players if you make changes, but question if you need to before you do :thup:.
