YLSFM00
I use this tactic when we're playing a good team (Bayern, Dortmund, Leipzig) advice is appreciated Balanced Mentality TI'S In Possession: Pass Into Space, Higher Tempo, Narrow TI'S In Transition: Counter TI'S Out of Possession: Lower LOE, Use Offside Trap Roles and duties: SK (DE) WB (AT) CD (DE) CD (DE) CD (DE) WB (SU) CAR (SU) CM (DE) CAR (SU) AF (AT) DLF (AT) Any help is welcome 👍
Experienced Defender
I would: - change the RWB's duty into support (because there is no reason for him to be on a more attacking duty than his counterpart on the opposite flank) - remove the offside trap - would be also wary of using carrileros on both sides, given that the formation is without a DM (at least one of them could be changed into a BMW on support or DLP on support, preferably the one in MCL) For starters. Then other potential tweaks would be made if necessary based on observations during a given match.
kingjericho
Why narrow, and then have two Carrilleros and Wing backs? If you want to be narrow when defending then the appropriate TI is "force opposition outside"
YLSFM00
Seeing the feedback, this is what I'll change it to. TI'S In Possession: Pass Into Space, Higher Tempo, Narrow TI'S In Transition: Counter TI'S Out of Possession: Lower LOE, Force Opposition Outside Roles and duties: SK (DE) WB (SU) CD (DE) CD (DE) CD (DE) WB (SU) CAR (SU) CM (DE) DLP (SU) AF (AT) DLF (AT) Thanks for the help and I will test this next game against a better team I have

Or because of the lateral gaps left by the carrileros' "stay wider" setting? On the left side of the midfield because of the DLF/a playing in the STCL position? Experienced Defender
2 minutes ago, Prolix said: In order to have an additional "holding" midfielder with the CM/d? BWM on support duty is not a holding midfielder. The DLP is, but in the overall context of the OP's tactic can make sense (in case he wants to have a playmaker in the midfield). Because even though it is a holding role, it's played on support duty, which means a higher individual mentality than the CM on defend in the middle. 5 minutes ago, Prolix said: Or because of the lateral gaps left by the carrileros' "stay wider" setting?
