Top target value: Selling vs Buying ?

Recommended Posts

How is this ever worked out ?

I have a world class player I DONT want to sell with a 5 year contract and the player doesnt want to leave but bids will come in at his value or under, but a player I WANT to sign who only has less then 3 years on his contract and is interested in making the switch they want a world record fee?

This is my player I dont want to sell:

You do realize that Spurs and Chelsea are tough rivals that never had any major player transfers between them for the past decade right?

Set your own players asking price to 300m then to deter bids coming in at his value or lower.

my player doesnt want to leave I am not worried about the incoming bids

this is just one example of the hyprocrisy of the AI

yh I know, even though im my game there have been plenty of dealings both ways with Chelsea and Spurs.

just unfortunate that my current transfer target is a chelsea player for this example i wanted to show but previously I was after a Barcelona left back who had just broken into the first team on a smaller contract and the media/agents were quoting £200m even though he had requested a transfer

Yet when someone chases a STAR on my side that DOESNT want to leave its £80m... if its meant to unsettle then its not working

There's no hypocrisy in the game in AI vs human player, the game knows the AI doesnt wanna sell so its a high probable price.
You say you dont set any price so its reasonable to assume the players value as a starting point.

Also, the media doesnt decide transfer sums, you do.

The 300m is the games way of telling you not for sale, without flat out refusing to discuss terms. It used to be that the AI would just flat out reject all offers, and people wanted that changing so they would always discuss. Take the hint and move on to another target. Or bid low and try to unsettle the player.

When a team bids low for a player who is supposedly not interested, they are trying to unsettle him. If he does not want to join, then just reject and ignore. Since you already noted he is on a long contract just keep rejecting and keep ignoring. That is basically exactly what they AI is doing when it comes to the 300m price tag.
