Kevinho7
With the introduction of the Inverted Wingback role we can now choose between Wingbacks who tuck inside or stay wide. But now it’s a ‘either or’ kinda thing, while in football nowadays the backs play both roles in the same game. For instance, the way Ten Hag at Ajax let’s his players on the flanks position themselves varies from time to time whitin a match. If the winger is near the touchline, the wingback tucks inside. And when the winger tucks inside, the wingback stays wide. It would be massive if these movements can be written into the game through some sort of in depth player positioning option or hybrid role. Same goes for how you want your players on one flank to position themselves when the ball is on the other flank. This will provide a whole new dimension to very fluid systems like Ajax play. Rashidi
How do you envisage the role working in transitions? More specific real life examples of matches that were played and how the role is becoming more common helps the devs out when they want to consider new roles for the game
