Renewing loans is to easy

In this edition im having the impresion that keeping loan players for another season is too easy (or bugged in my game), they always accept, even if you keep the same terms. For example, i had Harvey Eliott 10 seasons in a row on loan, he got to a point where he was one of the best players of my champions league winning team but liverpool kept accepting to extend the loan whith 30% of the wages.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Yes, it has been like that for a couple of years now.  If you keep extending the loan before the end of the season, AI clubs often let you have very good players for years and years, often for free or little wage contribution.

I've had this in Russia, a regen loan from Dinamo scored 25 goals for my Vladivostok team as I beat Dinamo to the title. He won the top goalscorer, I was allowed to loan him for the next three seasons. Insane.

I don't think so, I've just finished my first season with palermo and had 3 of my big performing loanees refused to be sent back to me because their club wanted them to play either on the first team or with higher quality players

Agree with this I've found it quite easy as long as you pick the right time to renegotiate a loan you can hold on to players for years and years.

In your experience, when is the right time to ask to renew the loan?

I can't remember off the top of my head but it's in the second half of a season, just keep checking and you'll usually get a decent deal to renew to the end of next season on the same wage or less.

It used to be easier. I remember on FM15 I could re-loan every single player I loaned in. That exploit has been reduced significantly, though it is still too easy to get loans in in general.

But if you don't like it, you can fix it easily by not loaning in the same player in successive seasons.
