Erith22
I haven't played FM since 2019. I picked it up as part of XBox game pass on my PC. Decided to start as Fulham, since I wanted the challenge of building a side up. First season, took a default tactic (fluid counterattacking), mostly used autopick for my squad, made no significant signings, and finished 6th. I finished 2nd with only 30 goals allowed. Is the AI broken, or did I just get lucky? Gx allowed was 39. Also, the whole season there were a total of like 2 penalties and maybe 1 DFK goal in my matches (both sides combined). I beat Liverpool twice. I made some in-match adjustments and usually just took the pre-match advice from my staff. Previous versions I'd be banging my head against the wall trying to scratch out enough points to stay up with a squad this bad (not a single player better than 'decent premiership player' and mostly just championship level talent. FrazT
Hard to judge after 1 season. If you are using the latest game update, I don't think that the game is broken and your performance and league position after the first season when the AI managers get used to how you play will be a better guide. Svenc
There's an "Expected Point" table where you can get a bit of a clue of how much luck may have been involved. E.g. Expected point table vs. actual point table.
