Hey Guys,

A few suggestions for the latest iteration of FM:

1. Player Bidding

Bidding for players. Lets say for example the player bids 10mn for a striker. Chelsea then come in and bid 15mn for him with an intent to outprice you and make your offer get rejected. The selling club will then reject your offer and ask you to either match Chelsea or make a higher offer forcing you to pay a higher fee for players which have significant interest from other clubs. The same should also be done for contracts. Lets say both Chelsea and you offer the player contract with Chelsea offering a higher wage. The agent of the player should then ask you to renegotiate the contract with a similar of higher wage then Chelsea. This could lead to Chelsea matching your contract or pulling out or even giving a higher contract to the player as they may be desperate to sign him. The agent will then again open negotiations with the player. I feel this would be very realistic and would extend the time needed to sign a player.

2. Rule Changes like Motorsport Manager

I know this wont be realistic but it would be so much fun. Every year the managers may come together to make changes to the rules of the league. Rule changes such as increasing the number of subs bench from  7 to 9 or changing the last day of the transfer window to the day before the first game of the season and so on can be done just before the new season starts in the annual manager meet.

3. Increase the maximum amount of money from 1bn to 10bn. Its absolutely needed!

4. Select Ticket Prices for the season. The game should give an approximate number of fans that would attend the game at the current ticket price and the new ticket price selected to ensure informed decision making.

5. Have the ability to prepay bank loans and transfer debt.

6. Set Piece Mentality

a) Overload - There should be a shortcut in player instructions to send all players up including GK's during a set piece late in the game when losing.

b) Normal - Use existing tactics

c) Cautious - Few Players go up

d) Defensive - Retain possession, waste time and no one goes up.

7. Set Piece Coaches who will set you set piece instructions to the best of their knowledge.

8. More animations post scoring a goal?

9. Keeping time wasting instructions at full should see players run to corner flag and keep possession there to waste time.

9. The number of times the referee may go to the VAR screen in a match should be capped. The referee going to the screen three times every alternate match is too much. The VAR decision making system is a nice touch but shouldn’t be so time consuming.

10.  Converse with player in case he refuses to go on loan. Basically give the manager an oppurtunity to convince the player to go on loan.
