smeagoltonez Posted July 4, 2021 Share Posted July 4, 2021 When a player responds negatively to a halftime talk, it would be great if you (or a coach or even the captain) could take them aside for a quick chat to try and fix the issue. Of course, this second chat could make things better or worse & it would be a gamble (depending on the staff skills, the player's personality & the relationship between the player & staff member. I think that a manager (or coach or experienced player) after seeing a player react negatively to something said would sometimes (depending on various factors) put his arm round the player's shoulders and try to fix the problem before he goes back out on the field. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
