International Friendly Fixture Dates

I'm aware in real life the international calendar dominates when national teams can convene for matches during a calendar year. Is there a relatively simple way with the editor to abolish this calendar to allow more of a "free for all" ability to schedule national team matches, or at least manually add in more international breaks during the calendar year to allow for more international friendly opportunities?

There was a mod for 16 or 18 that changed the period where friendlies where moved to the summer months only, so your idea of changing the slots should be possible.

Check the FM21 FIFA Nations file by krlenjushka. He has removed the friendlies, but at the same time you can use that file as a base to set up the friendlies the way you want. I can guide you through the process if needed.

Are friendly dates hard coded in the base game or is it something I can edit? For example, there are always dates for September, October and November, but what if I wanted to add some December dates and make clubs have to release players? Another slightly different practical example is the USA. They always hold a domestic camp and friendly or two in January as MLS is in the offseason. They can't call up European based players as the season is going strong,  but MLS players get called up.

In a perfect world, I would like to click "Schedule Friendly" and the entire calendar is available to chose, not just 2 -3 dates in September or October, etc just because they fall in the international window.

Use this tutorial to extract friendlies on advanced list and after that you can edit it.

I think the game doesn't allow you to set friendlies anymore for international teams? It was possible in old CMs I think (how I found a bug in the max amount of international caps you can get).

Hi, I was hoping to piggy-back off this topic. I'm a total novice who managed to create a very bare-bones custom league I'm using to test out tactics in. It's just 1 competition with 11 teams and I was able to squeeze all the games in from July to December so it only takes about 25 minutes to run a season on my computer. However, more than half of that time is spent processing the days when players are on international duty (I think potentially because new grayed out players need to be created for every country, not sure). I've deleted every competition from the database to try and make things run as quickly as possible, so there are just international friendlies, no competitions, but for whatever reason those days bog down the whole sim.

I would love to figure out how to make the friendlies only happen in the Spring (since the season is over by then). That way there are no international callups from July to December. I looked into changing fixture dates for nations but that didn't seem to actually impact anything.

Is something like this possible? I looked at the tutorial linked above but it doesn't really seem to apply to me since I've already deleted so many things. Am I just out of luck since I changed too much? Am I able to delay any international friendlies until later in the year? Thank you!
