Changing number of subs

Apologies, I know this has been asked before but I've done the following steps and as you can see, the premier league still has 9 subs named, maximum 3 used. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?

I've gone into the Editor, Advanced Rules, selected English Premier Division, Stage (League), League Settings and changed substitution rules to 5 from 12, but in-game it's still the old settings. Any ideas why?

Hard to say without a file. The edit looks good from here.

its the additional helpers there are extra set of rules to cover covid many leagues have this added and include  sub rules changes for the 20/21 season, it will override your change

so you need to edit that too

so you need to edit that too

Good shout, we will have to keep an eye on this for FM22.

it caught me out initially left me scratching my head but worked it out
