Continental coefficients

Is there anyway I could set up a continental coefficient system in North America like there is in Uefa so the qualification spots for the champions league can change each year? or is that barcoded into the game

It is coded in the sense that if you change anything in the European cups, the coefficients are no longer used. So trying to add them to the North American competitions will be problematic.
