Deisler26
1. FC Magdeburg 1. FC Magdeburg is a German association football club based in the city of Magdeburg. The club was founded in 1965 and spent all but one season in the East German top flight, the DDR Oberliga, winning three titles and seven cups. It is the only East German club to have won a European title, winning the European Cup-Winners Cup in 1974. After German reunification, the club fell on hard times and only entered professional football in 2015 when the side was promoted to the 3.Liga. ---------------------------- DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid):- a self-replicating material that is present in nearly all living organisms as the main constituent of chromosomes. Deisler26
Introduction Sir Alex Ferguson. Arsene Wenger. Guy Roux. Jurgen Klopp. What do they all have in common? They all were synonymous with their teams, their philosophies and methods ran through their teams like blood through a body. And this is what I am going to attempt here. A DNA to run throughout the club, infusing every corner of the club. I started the 2020/21 season unemployed and waited to see who will be available as a decent club to start with. It came down to FC Sochaux-Montebeliard in Ligue 2 BKT and 1. FC Magdeburg in the 3.Bundesliga. And it eventually came down to the fact that I could get rid of every member of staff at Magdeburg and start with a truly clean slate. And so, here we were. The team were languishing in the 3.Bundesliga relegation zone so it was the perfect breeding ground for what we want to do. The Brief So, we are gonna create a DNA to imprint into the club. Our hallmarks will be Work Rate and Pace and we'll be nothing without it. We'll also recruit staff who fit into our ethos and have 4-4-2 or 4-2-4 as their preferred formation, as we will be using a 4-2-4 when at home and the 4-4-2 away. We will look to bring through players in the youth system as much as possible, with Work Rate and Pace the prized assets to any graduates. All youth graduates will be trained to a specific position and role. Also, our scouts will focus on German youth with a focus on the afore-mentioned attributes. So, without much further ado, let's go! Edited August 28, 2021 by Deisler26
Deisler26
The Staff - HOYD With no staff, the most important member of staff for me to bring in was the Head of Youth Development. With everything based on bringing the youth through with good attributes, it was vital to get the best that we could. So we went with the following search. However, there were slim pickings with such a narrow focus, especially wanting to come to a 3.Bundesliga side. However, we liked the look of Having been a HOYD in a previous role, it seemed to be a perfect match. However, it wasn't to be as we got the following message. Well, screw you guy. Time to go for our second choice... German legend Dieter Eilts, no stranger to youth development, having had two roles before, along with bringing through World Cup-winning players as Germany U-19/U-20 manager between 2003-2007. That Professional personality and his love of 4-4-2 means that he's absolutely perfect for us and luckily, he's signed for us!
Deisler26
The Staff - Ass Man Next up was our selection of an Assistant Manager. An Ass Man was important to me as, not only would we need someone versed in the ways of 4-4-2 or 4-2-4, but someone also with enough Technical training skills to infuse the training sessions to help develop the first teamers. It's a tough ask, so let's fire up our selection process! None.. Hmm.. Let's knock down the Technical stats to 11. Nope?. Again? 10? AH-HA! One stood out! Ex-Hamburger SV 04 assistant manager Andre Killian looks to be the best of a bad bunch. He'll do until we manage to rise higher in the leagues and make our rep grow. With a Balanced personality, he at least wont hinder us in our quest.
Deisler26
The Staff - Fitness/GK Coach We all know that these aren't particularly important when it comes to driving policy in the team, but the more people who are down with our philosophy, the quicker the DNA can take hold! To wit, we took our principles and put them into the search bar... GK Coach I went about this slightly differently, in that I put in what I wanted, then checked to see if they fit. One guy stood out. Martin Topp. His preferred formation was a 4-4-2 and he liked Wing Play. Sold! Fitness Coach I used the same method as above. It wasn't imperative that they shared my philosophy (we are languishing in 3.Bundesliga after all), but if we can, we will! Sadly... even DNA needs to make way for practicality. To get the Pace needed for players, we need a great fitness coach and they're hard to come by at the lower levels. Thankfully, we've found a ex-FC RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig fitness coach in Christof Elser to help us
Deisler26
The Staff - Coaches Well, now we get to the meat of it. The general coaches will transmit my playing style and wishes to the players. So it is vital that they're brought into the DNA fold as much as possible. So, with that, I fired up the search engine! So this was our template. I would also be looking for 4-4-2 in their preferred formations to make it a good spread. We got quite a good list out of this and delved in. Here are our two winners, subject to international clearance Disciplined. Likes 4-4-2. Motivational. I like it. You're hired! Determined. Likes 4-4-2. Motivational. I like it as well! You're hired too!

Deisler26
Scouting We now move on to the part I hate, but will be necessary. Scouting for players. At this point, we'll be looking for players from the U-19's and Youth sides of the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga. From next season, we'll have Poland and Turkey in the mix, so we'll have a bit more scope with regards players, but for now, we're limiting to this. So, in order to scout, we need scouts! Enter! Strangers! Well, slim pickings for us down here. We managed to entice ex-Belgian international Mbo Mpenza into the fold as Chief Scout. His experience will be vital. Along with two newbies, one of which will be used to check out our recommendations. The other will be sent to watch players. The guidelines Now we have our scouts, let's send them out into the big bad world! We'll be running two scouting programs. One for the Junioren Vereins Pokal and one for the Junioren Bundesliga. They will both be ongoing and both will be using the following formula: Mbo Mpenza will take the Cup and Kevin Bergmann will take the A-Junioren Bundesliga. Bachmann will pick up the recommendations and look at the ones I like
Deisler26
Scouting - Part 2 So, we're ignoring the results for this season, as I took over in December. However, let's see what our scouts hath wrought us this season. First up, Ayoub Asrihi Report Ex FC Koln, Schalke 04 and Bayer 04 winger Ayoub Asrihi was flagged up in the first sweep. , he passes the DNA test. His Acceleration and Technique being above 10 also helps too. Dribbling is not ideal, but can be trained into him. He's a winner for me! It's a good start! Next? Marc Dauter Report Ex-RB Leipzig and Hannover 96 midfielder Marc Dauter was our next trialist. With a Work Rate of 11 and Pace of 13. With decent Decisions and Tackling (13) along with Determination at 16, he should be a decent addition when everyone leaves. There were however, some misses. We picked up this guy for a trial and sadly, he was not what was needed. Jano Baxmann report Milutin Dordevic Report Sadly neither of these two fitted either our system or were better than players we had and they retired to a farm soon after.
Deisler26
Jan 2021 Transfer Window So, first day in and we picked up the two trialists! And then picked up a loan signing from Eintracht Braunschweig The idea being that we needed some pace at DC and he fitted the bill. We then tried to swoop for a Borussia Dortmund II full-back, Kolbeinn Birgir Finnsson £125k for this guy looked like a decent deal for a full back that could conceivably take us through the divisions Sadly, we got into a bidding war and... Mid-Jan We looked at Amir Abdijanovic,an AMC/ST from Wolfsburg II at the end of his contract, but he decided to re-up with Wolfsburg. However, whilst scouting him, we came across another full back.. Davide Itter was coming to the end of his contract and, despite him being on the borderline for the DNA requirements (11 for Work Rate & Pace), his Tackling, Marking and Acceleration meant that he would be our first choice if he joined. But join, he did. I then paid £28k to get him in the window, rather than wait.

Deisler26
Welcome to Eigenshaften Look at our beautiful home. It's nice, but it can be so much more. The soon-to-be famed Magdeburg DNA Lab will be known throughout Germany and Europe soon. We share facilities with Otto von Guericke University right now, however. Just after we got to the club, we got the intake preview. Our Facilities currently sit at Adequate for Academy Coaching and Average for Youth Coaching & Facilities so I'm not expecting much. We will sign all the youth players and work on their flaws. When it comes to professional contracts, it'll be only the DNA qualifiers that get a contract. So, this was what turned up for intake day Not a bad intake with regards to stars, but as ever, that's not the be-all and end all of it. Let's look at the Top 3 prospects. 1. D/M/AMR Malte Hampf - With a Professional personality and 14+ in Work Rate & Pace. Malte is my dream first intake guy. But with a Tackling of 3 and Marking of 4, he's definitely not going to prosper in the Wing Back role. So Winger (Attack) he will be trained in! 2. D/M/AML Enver Ergin - An Unambitious personality gives warning bells. As does demanding a higher contract that I was willing to give. It took until the last possible day for for us to agree on a deal. However, DNA-wise, he fits the bill with 14 in Work Rate and 16 for Pace. He's going to need to improve massively to make it into the first team, so he's going to be trained as a Wing Back (Attack) - 3. M/AMLC Maximillian Belau - A Fairly Sporting personality is not a bad sign, along with good DNA traits of Work Rate: 13 and Pace: 14. His 14-rated Technique and Flair also mean he's a mean prospect for the AML spot, but his woeful Passing and Dribbling attributes (6!) need working on, stat! He'll be trained in the Inside Forward (Attack) role. NOTES Maximillian Sander and Alexander Thiel were rated as having better prospects than Ergin or Belau, but their Work Rate's were both below 10 and, in Thiel's case, below 10 in pace too. So they got bumped down in the rankings. We'll naturally train both of them individually to meet the minimum requirements for DNA, but I'm not optimistic Edited September 2, 2021 by Deisler26
Deisler26
1. FC Magdeburg Well, no-one is particularly enthused with us, but no-one is particularly bothered by us. Not the greatest of starts.

Deisler26
Season Review 2020/21 3. Bundesliga - Not the best season for us, but as I took over when we were 7 points adrift of safety. Let's hope our first full season goes better Seasonal Stats - We were helped a lot by 38 goals from our front two. However, we didn't get much more help. So we need to do better next season Season Results - Not much for a draw, us. Either win or lose. And we lost a lot. That is something we need to sort out. Deisler26
2021/22 Season Preview So last season, wasn't the best, but we've had a lot of time now to build the team up. We've had a decent pre-season, with no major injuries and the board want Mid-Table in the 3.Bundesliga out of us this season. Let's hope we can live up to it. We were given a £64k wage budget and £350k transfer budget to start the season with but, thanks to not extending a lot of first team players on large wages, we cut the budget by £30k!! Best move before July 1 was to extend Christian Beck's contract by two years. The 33 year old is on the way out, but he's the best target man available and to get him with no increase on his £3.5k a week wage, means we're laughing. The first team currently looks like this on July 1 As you can see, we're doing well with the First XI getting into the DNA of the team. I need maybe uprate some of the Work Rate's, but at 3.Bundesliga level, we're just happy to have the minimums right now. With regards to Pace, we're quite blessed apart from Beck, but he's a 33 year old Target Man, so 9 for Pace is doing well! We also set our scouting for the season below. Deisler26
August Transfer Window 2021 Well, we've had a super busy month this season as we look to replace six first team players and improve, all for less money. So, an easy plan then Transfers IN: D/WBL Daniel Pfaffenroth (free, KFC Uerdingen 05) - Work Rate: 8, Pace 16 - DNA: FAILED Bought as depth for the left back role, Daniel's Work Rate needs some..ahem.. work and immediately was put on an training regime to improve his Work Rate. If he doesn't improve, he's not getting into the first team. D/WB/M/AML Dominik Wanner (free, Borussia Dortmund) - Work Rate: 10, Pace 13 - DNA: PASSED Dominik can play all the way up the left hand side of the pitch, which makes him invaluable for these cost-cutting times. Plus he gets ahead of Pfaffenroth because his Work Rate and Pace meet the minimums for the DNA. MRL/AMRLC Karim Loukili (free, Helmond Sport) - Work Rate: 11, Pace 12 - DNA: PASSED Karim was brought in because we needed some experience on the wing to get promoted. He also has great stats for our level and is above (just) the minimums set for DNA DM/M/AMC Cem Türkmen (free, Bayer 04 Leverkusen) - Work Rate: 12, Pace 11 - DNA: PASSED Cem was an excellent pickup that I was alerted to by my scouts. We needed some more creativity in the middle of the park and Cem will provide that in spades. M/AMR Niklas Determann (free, Bayer 04 Leverkusen) - Work Rate: 14, Pace 12 - DNA: PASSED Again, the need for backups was paramount here. Niklas fitted all the DNA template requirements, but he needs to improve for him to be able to see first team action. AMC/ST Michel Eickschläger (free, Bayer 04 Leverkusen) - Work Rate: 11, Pace 14 - DNA: PASSED Our third of four arrivals from Bayer Leverkusen was an attacking player who we were looking to play off Beck as a backup poacher/advanced forward. Quick and skilled, he'll hopefully develop into the starting forward we need for a few seasons at least. D/WBL Christopher Rocchia (free, Olympique de Marseille) - Work Rate: 14, Pace 14 - DNA: PASSED Christopher was a massive coup for us to be honest, getting a player in from a top European side to anchor our left back role is truly amazing. His stats make him one of the best LB's in the division too. DLC/DM Phil Kemper (free, Bayer 04 Leverkusen) - Work Rate: 11, Pace 10 - DNA: PASSED Phil was our last pickup from Bayer Leverkusen and a bit of a flyer. Originally posted as a left back, we'll be training him at centre-back and seeing if he can develop. GK Thom Jonkerman (free, FC Eindhoven) - Work Rate: 8, Pace 10 - DNA: FAILED This was a bit of a panic buy as it looked like we weren't being able to keep both keepers for this coming season. He's a very cheap pickup and will leave when his deal expires ----------------- This concluded all our July 1 dealings. But we made three extra signings throughout the off-season ST Kristoffer Krebs, (£40k, IF Brommapojkarna) - Work Rate: 12, Pace 16 - DNA: PASSED Kristoffer was signed by previous knowledge. I wasn't happy with the left wing production in our first two pre-season games, so by moving Sliskovic out there, it created a hole at starting forward which I needed to fill! DM/MC Robin Schultealbert (Free Agent) - Work Rate: 11, Pace 11 - DNA: PASSED This guy was recommended by my scouts and we are looking light in the development side for midfielders. So I'm hoping that this guy can mature into our starting XI midfielder in a few seasons. DRC Lasse Rosenboom (Free Agent) - Work Rate: 10, Pace 15 - DNA: PASSED We went through a rough patch with right backs with injuries and suspensions to our main two right backs. Luckily, we had Lasse on trial and it was a cinch to give him a 1 year contract to prove himself as the backup/starter.

Deisler26
2022 Youth Intake Preview Well, my first intake preview as manager. Let's break this down into what we need and what we don't! Healthy number of new full backs - Well, despite me recruiting many full-backs this past offseason.... we could do with better. So, we're up one Two full back have plenty of promise - Again, the better the players, the better the team will be. Let's hope it's a right sided full back. One centre-back looks promising - Thank Christ. Let's hope he fits because we are in sore need of centre backs! There is an attacking midfielder we should keep an very close eye on - Well, since we don't use AM's, he'll have to be retrained. Let's hope his skillset lends to it One of our wingers looks like a very handy prospect - What? Another? JFC.... We have two forwards who are considered to be fine prospects - Not the best news, as we are already stocked at forward, but hopefully we can do well out of it with sell-ons This is an excellent group of players coming through - Very good news tbh We have no defensive midfielders coming through - Good, we don't use them We have no new wing-backs coming though - See above. Most of the new CM's don't look like they'll be ever good enough for the first team - Well,f**k. We need more tbh The next crop of Wide Midfielders do not look like great prospects - Urgh. Again, we could do with some as well..

Deisler26
January 2022 Transfer Window Well, we were deep in the mire to begin January and I was panicking. First up, we had a report for our centre-back search Problem with three out of the four was they were over 30 years old. I was pretty adamant that I wasn't signing older players, so they were out and the 24 year old was a) not German and b) had a Work Rate of 8. BINNED. Coming in on Jan 1 was a central defender DC Jaime Marques (free, 1.FC Nürnberg) - Work Rate: 10, Pace 12 - DNA: Passed Jaime was a player for the future hopefully, with aerial power by the buckload. We'll work on his Pace however. The rest of January was an absolute disaster. Once we signed a deal with parent club Borussia Dortmund, I went raiding their II side and picked up the following two players on deadline day MLC/AMRLC Sergio Gómez (loan, Borussia Dortmund) - Work Rate 12, Pace 11 - DNA: Passed Sergio is a wonderful addition to the squad. Having spent a number of years in Spain on loan after signing for Dortmund in 2017, he was rotting away this season and desperate to get some first team football. Enter us! DM/MRC Tobias Raschl (loan, Borussia Dortmund) - Work Rate 11, Pace 12 - DNA: Passed Tobias is sorely needed to add some steel to our midfield. He'll patrol the middle and give us some more presence ; M/AMC Nicolas Sessa (loan, 1.FC Kaiserslautern) - Work Rate 13, Pace 14 - DNA: Passed In a blind panic by now, I picked up Nicolas on loan from league leaders Kaiserslautern. He's out of contract in the summer and this will be a good audition for him this season Edited September 4, 2021 by Deisler26
Deisler26
Welcome to Eigenshaften - 2022 Welcome back to Eigenshaften for our 2022 youth intake. We'd had a number of improvements recently to our facilities, as shown above, so that we're at Good Youth Coaching and Good Youth Recruitment. We also had an upgrade to our Youth Training facilities to Good as well, so that our base at Otto von Gurieke University Magdeburg looks all shiny and new. As ever, we will sign all the youth players and work on their flaws. When it comes to professional contracts, it'll be only the DNA qualifiers that get a contract. So, without further ado, let's see what's turned up So, out of this, here are my top 3 prospects 1. DC Andreas Temp: Work Rate: 14, Pace 12 - DNA: Passed Andreas is a gift from heaven. Tall, relatively pacy and great work rate. I think I could cry.... 2. MR/AMC Florian Gewelke: Work Rate: 11, Pace 12 - DNA: Passed Florian needs training at MR as we don't use AMC's. But he's certainly got the talents to play wide and I need him to develop well 3. AMRL/ST Kevin Fielder: Work Rate: 13, Pace 14 - DNA: Passed I like Kevin a lot, I feel he could be a brilliant winger for us, but I think we'll struggle to keep him if bigger teams come in for him. Kevin Schwartz was ranked high as a prospect, but with a Work Rate of 9 and a Pace of 7 (along with an Acceleration of 6) for a full back means he fails our DNA test spectacularly. Still, we live in hope.. Edited September 4, 2021 by Deisler26
Deisler26
2022 Exit Interviews - U-19 We've reached the last dance for the members of the U-19 side. Do they get a full contract? Or do they leave in darkness, unmourned Two goalies and a winger. All look like they could be relatively useful with regards to their potential. Let's apply the DNA filter and see what it says Yeeeeaah.. Erm.. No, they're all being let go. Both goalies work rates are well below what's needed and Farke just doesn't have the talent to make it though. Bye!
Deisler26
2021/22 End of Season Review My first full season in charge was quite a defective firework, shot up in into the sky with a large amount of sparks, fell quickly back down to Earth and then once it hit the floor, shot off at a 45 degree angle to explode at the end. We ended up finishing 9th in 3.Bundesliga, not helped by the run of two wins in twelve, or more precisely 8 points from 36. But we recovered to finish strongly enough. Our defence was the biggest culprit this season, we finished 18th overall in Goals Conceded, smack in the middle of the relegated clubs. But we also finished 3rd in Goals Scored. so there's that to be happy with. Also, Christian Beck won the 3.Bundesliga POTY award, which is excellent for a 33 year old and more than justifies my choice of re-upping his contract last season Season Results July-Dec Season Results: Jan-May Good to see that summer signing Kristoffer Krebs was firing on all cylinders. He finished one goal ahead of Beck to have 30+ goals by the front two for the second season in a row. Edited September 6, 2021 by Deisler26

Deisler26
Welcome to Eigenshaften - 2022 (Redux) Welcome back to Eigenshaften for our 2022 youth intake. So, without further ado, let's see what's turned up So, out of these, here are my Top 3 prospects (again) D/WBL Louis Schiele: Work Rate 14, Pace 16 - DNA: PASSED Louis is a magnificent full back who, upon aging out, will go straight into my first team. Not unhappy with the redux draft so far MR/AMC Florian Gewelke: Work Rate: 10, Pace 11 - DNA: Passed Florian is looking OK to start with, but his skillset doesn't really lend itself to any real position we have. He needs his dribbling upping to play on the wing, so that will be his training AMRL/ST Joshua Weigel - Work Rate 14, Pace 13 - DNA: Passed Joshua will be trained for the AML left spost as his stats seem to lend themselves more to a winger than a striker, plus Krebs is just 17 and will be our starting striker for many years We also had a decent goalie come through the ranks in Fynn Neigenfink
Deisler26
So we finished the season pretty much the same way as we finished our parallel universe season. So, I won't change any details above. Let's get into Season 3!

Deisler26
2022/23 Season Preview So last season was better than the last, but we've had a lot of time now to build the team up. We've had a decent pre-season, with no major injuries and the board again want Mid-Table in the 3.Bundesliga out of us this season. Let's hope we can live up to it. We were given a £64k wage budget and £450k transfer budget to start the season with but, again, we've cut a lot of first team players!! We ended up extending a midfielder Maximillan Jansen for another two seasons at no extra cost on his £1.8k wages too. The first team currently looks like this on July 1 As you can see, we need a new Centre Back as Koglin only has 9 for Work Rate. And, as ever, we set out our scouting stall! Deisler26
August Transfer Window 2022 This season was about trying to get promotion, so we opened our wallets and went for it! Transfers IN: M/AMRLC/ST Oliver Batista Meier (free, FC Bayern München) - Work Rate: 10, Pace 11 - DNA: PASSED Our wing position was one of our weakest last season and as such, we secured a huge talent for fill that sport. On a 1 year, big-money deal, it is a risk, but we're not lumbered if it doesn't give us the push we need. GK Mikki van Sas (£2.3m (rising to £5.5m with clauses), Manchester City) - Work Rate: 10, Pace 10 - DNA: PASSED We utterly shattered the existing 3.Bundesliga record for amount paid for a transfer (£1.4m by RB Leipzig for Yussef Poulsen), but I feel this will be borne out over time. Mikki is a great talent and we'll need him to guide us up the leagues. He's on a long-term deal with a lot of extensions DL Gideon Guzy (Free Agent) - Work Rate: 10, Pace 14 - DNA: PASSED We'd lost our starting left back, due to a can't-miss transfer offer, so into the market we went and we found Guzy, newly released from Schalke 04. He was basically what we needed as a short-term player at that position whilst youth team members matured and re-trained. ST Anton Raudsepp (£275, Mjällby IF) - Work Rate: 11, Pace 14 - DNA: PASSED This signing was flagged up, due to a recruitment meeting. Anton was plying his trade in Sweden and we liked what we saw as a backup to Krebs. We signed him on a Bosman, then paid the money to get him early. He chose us over a host of 1.Bundesliga clubs, thanks to a larger wage, but we have numerous retention clauses ----------------- We also were in the market for a few loan deals to bolster the squad. DC/DM/MC Sem Valk (loan, Feyenoord Rotterdam) - Work Rate: 9, Pace 12 - DNA: FAILED This, being a loan only signing, meant that I was willing to go below the DNA for the right player. Sem will be a squad player and I will concentrate his training on getting his work rate up. DC Colin Kleine-Bekel (loan, Borussia Dortmund) - Work Rate: 10, Pace 13 - DNA: PASSED Going cap in hand to our parent club saw us come back with Colin. He'll be a stalwart in our defence, now Berger has left. M/AMRL Abu-Bekir El-Zein (loan, Borussia Dortmund) - Work Rate: 14, Pace 14 - DNA: PASSED Our second capture from our parent team was winger El-Zein. We need, need, need depth to go up this season and El-Zein provides it in spades MC Max Bruns (loan, FC Twente Enschende) - Work Rate: 13, Pace 12 - DNA: PASSED Max was a panic move on deadline day as I felt we didn't have the depth in the middle of the park if Jansen went down with a long-term injury ----------------- Transfers OUT: Obviously our performance wasn't good enough last season to get promoted and some players were ansty to leave, so we had a number of players exit the club GK Morten Behrens - (£100k + 50% sell-on, Odense Boldklubb) DLC Korbinian Burger - (free, FC Erzgebirge Aue) DL Christopher Roccia - (£100k + 50% sell-on, RKC Waalwijk) DRC Lasse Rosenboom - (£105k + 50% sell-on, FC St. Pauli) AMC/ST Michel Eickschläger - (£50k + 50% sell-on, FC St. Pauli) DM/M/AMC Cem Türkman - (£43.5k + 50% sell-on, Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor) DM/MC Robin Schultealbert - (£2.5m + 50% sell-on, Eintracht Frankfurt) Almost all of the departures were players from higher clubs before they joined us, apart from Behrens. Schultealbert was a long game, played to perfection. Our first bid for him was £500k, but we kept pushing and pushing and every time a new bid came in, we'd up the ante, finally getting Frankfurt to settle on £2.5m!!! Deisler26
2023 Youth Intake Preview Oh hello! This looks like a banger of an intake. Let's break it down! There are a lot of wingers in the system - Hmmm.. This is good, but we're juuuust getting to the point where we have some good wingers. However, depending on the intake, we could let Batista Meier go and save that money. At least one of our goalkeepers looks like a great prospect - After we spend a TON of money on Mikki Van Sas too. FFS. At least we should get 4 or so years out of him before the wolves come crawling about. At least one of our centre backs looks promising - HALLELUJAH. Please, please, please be in the DNA. Please. One of our wingers looks like a very handy prospect - Hmmm.. He *could* be the winger saviour we needed on the left. Or not. We have two forwards who are considered to be fine prospects - Would kill for a target man. Let's see how it pans out. We have one good young German goalkeeper from Schönebeck (Elbe) who has caught the eye - Again, if he's as good as Dieter says, we've got a potential goldmine on our hands This is a terrific group of players coming through, and has the potential to be a real Golden Generation for the club - Those twenty-two words every woman wants to hear.. We have no defensive midfielders coming through - Don't use them. Never mind eh? We haven't got any new wing backs coming through - Luckily we had some decent prospects in the last intake so that should help. Most of the new central midfielders do not look like they'll ever be good enough for the first team - This is our weakest area so we may need to look outside the club for help here The next crop of wide midfielders do not look like great prospects - Again, we have players for the positions, but we may need to supplant them Most of our attacking midfielders coming through look to be below the required standard - Oh well. *shrug* Another position we don't use. Deisler26
January 2023 Transfer Window Being relatively stable this season, meant we weren't looking to upset the apple cart with a number of new signings. However, we picked up two players during this window. DC Per Berg (free, FC Volendam) - Work Rate: 13, Pace 14 - DNA: PASSED Per was brought to my attention by my Netherlands scout, who was searching for young Dutch talent with DNA. And a talent he is. I cannot comprehend keeping him for more than a season or two, but it means we can stiff the buyers with a 50% sell-on GK Max Dieckerhoff (loan, Borussia Dortmund) - Work Rate: 7, Pace 12 - DNA: FAILED We went back to the well for our other signing as we raided parent club Borussia Dortmund for goalie Max Dieckerhoff to take some of the brunt off Mikki van Sas, who had been ever present. Deisler26
Welcome to Eigenshaften - 2023 Welcome back to Eigenshaften for our 2023 youth intake. We'd had a number of improvements recently to our facilities, as shown above, so that we're now at Good Youth Coaching and Excellent Youth Recruitment. We also had the German version of 'Changing Rooms' round to give an upgrade to our Youth Training facilities up to Great as well, so that our base at Otto von Gurieke University Magdeburg looks all shiny and new. As ever, we will sign all the youth players and work on their flaws. When it comes to professional contracts, it'll be only the DNA qualifiers that get a contract. So, without further ado, let's see what's turned up A great intake, so let's look at the Top 3 Prospects! ST Peter Frank; Work Rate 15, Pace 13 - DNA: PASSED A 4* prospect from DAY ONE?? There is a God and thy name is Peter Frank. ML Daniel Richter; Work Rate 10, Pace 14 - DNA: PASSED Daniel could be good. He could also be bad. He's not standing out anywhere, but he's not awful anywhere. Let's see how he develops! AMLC/ST Fabian Brandt; Work Rate 11, Pace 15 - DNA: PASSED Fabian looks to be a great technical prospect and one that, if he develops well, he'll be a serious talent for this side. For the first time, our top three DNA prospects are actually our top three prospects!

Deisler26
2023 Exit Interviews - U-19 We've reached the last dance for the members of the U-19 side. Do they get a full contract? Or do they leave in darkness, unmourned A large quantity of players leaving. Do we stick or twist? Let's look at the evidence Niklas Schmidt, Soren Frahn, Maximillian Sander, Timo Brahmer, Sebastian Brautigam, Maximillan Belau and Johann Alscher will all be offered minimum wage 3 year deals as per the DNA method. The rest will be let go
Deisler26
2022/23 End of Season Review My attempt at actually escaping the division also proved quite a defective firework in shot up in into the sky with a large amount of sparks, fell quickly back down to Earth and then once it hit the floor, sparked a little again and then fizzled out. We ended up finishing 7th in 3.Bundesliga, which was our best finish under my stewardship, but we still had prolonged periods without a win. We improved somewhat with our defensive play this season, finishing 11th overall in Goals Conceded, seven places higher than last season. But we also again finished 3rd in Goals Scored. so there's that to be happy with. Season Results July-Dec Season Results: Jan-May Kristoffer Krebs again topped the goalscoring charts. The guy is a human cheat code and is keeping out much more talented strikers. Meanwhile, Christian Beck was still contributing at age 34, topping our Assists and Avg Rating charts
