Associazione Sportiva Cisco Calcio Roma is an Italian football club, based in Rome, Lazio. The club was founded in 2004 after the merger of A.S. Lodigiani and Cisco Calcio Roma, though they indicate 1972 (Lodigiani's foundation year) in their crest. Cisco Roma, in season 2004/05, played in Serie C2/B as A.S. Cisco Lodigiani and currently plays in Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. The team's colors are red and white.

A.S. Lodigiani was known for having one of the finest Italian youth systems, with players such as Luigi Apolloni, Valerio Fiori, Emiliano Moretti and Francesco Totti among its former youth team footballers. Cisco Roma is willing to continue to keep the youth teams on a high level.

Cisco Roma started 2006/2007 season with great ambitions of promotion, after signing former Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham, Charlton and Lazio star Paolo Di Canio; it finished 2nd in Serie C2/C, but lost to Reggiana in the promotion playoffs semifinals.

SQUAD ANALYSIS

Goalkeepers

A problem area. Silvio Lafuenti is your No.1, but he's old and not that great, so a replacement is needed fairly urgently. I recommend Pierluigi Frattalli from Frosinone Reserves. He is only 22 and he can be purchased for 14k. I also recommend a new No.2 as well so that all the keepers can be sold on to other clubs.

Fullbacks

Not amazing. A new RB is a priority, and I would recommend Tommassi Dei. He is without a club and is excellent. The issue is that he's 32, but other than that he is great. LB is not too bad, but again I recommend a replacement. Although it is lower down on the priority list.

Centre Backs

Average. I still recommend new one's however, as average won't cut it IMO. I recommend Luigi Cipriani from Cavese. He is only 22, he can play right back as well and only costs 20k. Great player. As for the other one, I'll leave that up to you...

Centre Midfield

Wow. Your two first choice midfielders are terrific. You have a job getting them to stay, but if you manage it then your set. Mascio is the pick of the bunch. Just wow.

Wingers

Your right winger is excellent, and he's only 18. Your left winger is not so great. Although again, it is lower down on the priority list.

Strikers

Your set here. Two terrific first choices, and two decent backups, no signings are needed, if you must then you may want a target man, but there's not too much need.

Have fun playing as Cisco Roma. They have bags of potential and have a useful link with Roma as well. Enjoy!

There is a rumour going around that Mascio doesn't actually exist in real life. Is there any truth to this?

It's odd, looked on their official site and wikipedia, he isn't listed at all. He could have been sold of course. Will check in a minute.

EDIT: Well, I looked. Nothing. He probably doesn't exist your right. Very strange.

Well real or not here is the man himself season two http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/lwwwl/mascio.jpg ......doing great and I imagine I wont be able to hold on to him much longer, a real shame.

Anyway i am doing good so far in C1, second place 11 games played. I hope I will be able to stay there as Perugia seems to strong to overtake them.....I will keep you posted.

Your gonna have a great game mate....I allways pick them as a first LLm in FM and allways end up with a great game

Is Cascio a real person? I've deleted Mascio from my db as he seems to be a figment of someone's imagination.

I don't see his name on Cisco Roma's wiki entry. I'll delete him if he is a fake player. I hate having fake players floating around the game. Heck, I don't even like regens.

Cheers

Apparently Mascio, Cascio and another play whose name I cannot remember are all fakes in the Cisco squad. Kind of defeats the point of playing as them.

Thanks crafty bison. I'll delete Cascio too. I wonder how they managed to worm their way into the db? Weird...

I have just started a new Cisco adventure. I dont know why i have had the urge to go Cisco since FM07, but am just drawn to then :)

Here are my trnasfers in:

Carles Coto £8k

Pablo Mazza £5k

Valerio Foglio £1k

Scott Sutter £20k

Toze £10k

Diego Novaretti £24k

Pierluigi Frattali £3k

Javier Modrego £1k

Ukah £150k

I have had a few decent pre-season results. Hopefully i can keep Novaretti and Ukah fit as they are easily the best CB's in the league. Mazza looks like he could turn into a good forward prospect and Coto is a good winger. Fingers crossed for promotion

Is it pronounced sisco or chisco?

Anyways I started a game too, 2 seasons in and 2 successive promotions into Serie B. I just concentrated on getting a load of good regens and its worked out well, my entire midfield and attack is 19 or less, hopefully that doesn't hold me back in Serie B though with a lot of big teams around and 8 more games to play in the season, the only guys I have from the start are Mascio, Ricciolino, Angeletti and Balzano. I even had some of my players called up for Italy under 19s last season which nearly derailed my promotion bid but Salernitana fluffed it too, anyway this is where the really hard work starts in Serie B, I'm predicted to finish bottom.....

Just finished my first season with Cisco, well i have the playoff games to play first. I am a bit gutted to not get automatic promotion as the team played really well. Just too many draws :(

cisco09cu7.jpg

Mascio run the show for me this season and Mazza turned out to be a really good signing. Novaretti and Ukah both had a great season at the hear of the defence.

Now its just the playoff's and then hopefully Serie C1 next year :)

Nice work Keaneo, we need to keep this thread going, Cisco is a great challenge even if frustrating at times. Well done on getting Novaretti, I'm in 2013 and he's at PSG and looks a Serie A standard defender, unfortunately PSG have a much bigger reputation than I do.

Anyway my third season was in Serie B and I expected to struggle but somewhat amazingly we got promoted throught the playoffs, the end of the league season was bad as I endured my annual second half of the season slump but the break until the playoffs seemed to recharge the batteries so we beat Albinoleffe and then Pisa in the final with an incredible 4-4 game in the second leg, that wasn't good for my nerves.

So into Serie A with the big boys and not surprisingly we were predicted to be bottom again and I was not happy when 2 days from the end of the transfer window my chairman accepted a 15m bid from Palmeiras for Mascio. Unfortunately I went on a panic buying spree and spent 10m of it on Hernan Bernardello to replace Mascio, hes solid but nothing more, I also spent 4m on Dario Lezcano who looks a good strkier but plays pretty pants. My better signings were a regen centre back, Simone Vitale from Pisa at LB who is a Godlike player says Genie scout, rightly so. Also Francesco Pisano at RB but hes been replaced by Christian Jidayi who is amazingly versatile and cost 950k, I highly recommend him, don't think he was a regen, Juve now want him for 6m. Got Luca Tremolada on loan from Inter as well who just lacks that pace, anyway our first season went well and we finished 12th including a win over Inter at home.

Second season in Serie A went much worse, signed Cabral from River for 6m and the defence looks solid but couldn't do much to the attack other than get a couple of promising regens, we conceded less goals but couldn't score despite having numerous games with more clear cut chances than the opposition, fortunately we were never really in danger of going down and we finished 16th. Anyway this was the cue for a mass clear out although I managed to keep the defence together with players wanting to move on, I'll probably have to let them before their contracts run out though. I got in a great left winger from Parma and a striker from Sao Paulo who both look great and have improved the attack, 3 games into the 2013/14 season we beat Palermo 4-0 and then Siena and Napoli as well to be top of the league, hopefully we can break into the top teams but it will be difficult considering there are so many very decent sides in Italy and our reputation and income are still relegation standard.

Hi, great work with the guide.

Just a quick question though..... I'm thinking of starting a new season with Cisco Roma or any other Italian team. I only have patch 9.1.0 installed.

Is there a bug that will crash my game after one season, or was that only on the original game and fixed in the 9.1.0 patch?? Or do I need the 9.2.0 patch?

Can anyone help.

Thanks

i actually just started playing with Prato ... same division as cisco from the start. Always hate playing against cisco. But I did a whole club clearout and bought some frees, I'm now challenging for 1st/2nd.

start a prato game if you want an even harder challenge than cisco ... and you enjoy a board takeover saga :)
