Friend having problems loading into matches and cannot see his tabs on our online save we have played for the entire game cycle. Anyone else have this issue?

We have played for the entire game cycle and overcome many, many bugs which have halted us but now we have run into another. Today my friend has encountered a glitch where he cannot press LT on his controller to bring up the tabs as it flashed a black screen then return to the page he was on and he cannot load into his matches. The only fix was when he reinstalled (once it happens once the only fix was reinstall) and I think both the matches where it happened I tried to attend although iirc there was a match I successfully attended although I don't fully remember. Anyone else having this issue or know what to try?
