Delegated Training

Recommended Posts

I've always wondered this about FM - I flip and flop between doing training manually and setting position/role/duty (e.g. AMR/Inside Forward/Attack) and delegating training which seems to just use, say, "AMR - Playing position".

My question is when training is delegated, is FM smart enough to train the player for AMR/Inside Forward/Attack because that's the role he plays in my tactic or is it a more generalised AMR training?

Thanks!

No, leaving individual training on Playing Position will focus on all attributes required for that position, as explained here by Seb:

Training position alone means they are training in all the attributes for that position but to a lighter degree. They are not focusing on a single role. Training in a position alone is a lighter workload than training a specific role and covers a broader range of skills but to a lesser degree. It'll default to where they play.

I imagine that means all the roles combined, which makes it the most complete training, but of course also a lottery at the same time, because you can't aim the development towards a certain set of attributes the player might be lacking in.
