Couple of questions /staff responsability, set-pieces

Firstly, I noticed that a couple of my staff keep starting coaching courses, without me even having to accept or decline it. Staff responsability was the first thing I sorted out when starting the game. Their contract will run out at the end of the season anyway, so there's no point to it.

Offering contract to youth players, as you can see in the first picture; why can't I lower the wage offer, when I just did that with the previous contract negotiation?

And finally (2nd picture, I'm the defending team in this case), perhaps I missed something at the set-pieces, but is there an option for setting a player to mark the free man? Would another player set to 'stay forward' or 'edge of area' be able to mark him?

Have to ask, when you assigned staff responsibilities at the beginning of your save, did you click 'confirm' afterwards? That's caught me out a couple of times.

Yes, several times since then I double-checked. No Director of Football either, so I don’t know how this is happening.

I’ll keep monitoring it and see if it still happens.
