How do clubs determine a managers suitability?

Recommended Posts

When you are applying for jobs often you may be rejected as you may not have a track record in promotion battles or may not be a survival specialist, who has a track record in keep teams up.

My question is how do the AI clubs determine this, and what time frame do they use? If I keep a team up and then have two seasons of promotion pushing, if I apply for a job will the new clubs AI “remember” that I kept that team up 2 or 3 season ago so that goes in my favour if the new club is in a relegation battle?

Is there maybe a hidden stat for the manager that stacks up (or depletes) over time which can make you more or less likely to be considered for a specific project?

Just curious really

Oh, the AI remembers everything you've done. They'll bring up in interviews about how some guy at your club got unhappy 30 years ago. You do have a record in the background that tracks your successes and failures in terms of board expectations and how you run your clubs in general.

True, I remember getting reminded of my mismanagement of finances for about 10 years even though id been fine with finances for 9 of the 10 years! The AI can only be so advanced so I completely understand that they might "hold on" to some things so you just have to take it on the chin when something the AI does seems a bit weird I guess!

I'm sure in the next 5 years, the AI will be so advanced that it will feel so intuitive and the realism levels will shoot up, just as they have over the past 5/10 years!
