Adding a new club in the Editor

Apologies if this has been asked before but I want to add a new club into the MLS Western Conference.  Do I need to remove one of the existing teams or does the game automatically adjust for this?  I did this years ago but I've forgotten what I did then to make it work.

I always resurrect Leigh Genesis and throw them in the 7th level of the pyramid. I add them to the Northern Premier League (not sure if thats the correct name) and remove another club from the leagfue. It works perfectly.
