fraudiola
my striker drops so deep on attack like hes playing as a F9, the mez is always ahead of him whereas my previous striker was always looking to make runs behind. i give plenty of rest to my players due to our high intensity of play but my LW is always dead by 50 mins. does not happen to my other LWs. SteinkelssonFM
Might be worthwhile dropping your line of engagement a little to see how that impacts his fitness. By the looks of the tactic I would take a pop at saying most of your buildup play is down the right and therefore the IF is basically doing suicide runs to try and exploit space. De Nile
Doesn't forwards in general want the ball a lot more than others and would position themselves to receive the ball. The AF is the most offensive forward role and the shorter passing seems to force him be part of the build up or he drops deep and carries the ball to quicken the pace of the counter. Either take Shorter Passing TI off and tell some players to short pass and leave some players who can pick out great passes or don't counter and leave the build up to positive mentality your team has. CARRERA
Didnt they announce that strikers will generally come deeper to help and defend, as they seemed quite de-linked from time to time in FM21?

I have this too and just with one player on the left wing and like yours he doesn't have issue with stamina or natural fitness. He has to come off every game around the 60th minute. The only thing I can think of is how old is Korneev, because my player is 18 and I have no idea if that impacts their stamina? I have to see how hard he works in comparison to his replacements to see if maybe aggression and work rate leads to some players wearing themselves out far sooner? sporadicsmiles
This tactic is going to make your left winger run around an awful lot, which is why he is getting tired. He is going to be up and down the wing the entire game. Plus he will lead the counter press. Plus he has press more. I actually would think your Mezala is also going to get quite tired. My recipe for this to just tone down the instructions once I have a game secured, or think I need to let the players have a rest.

The issue as the OP and myself has is that this isn't an issue with the other players who play the same position.....so something else seems to be affecting it, is that work rate and aggression which makes some players work harder and press more. I agree with the tuning down later in matches albeit I don't always do that which is a benefit of the 5 subs rule in Spain. fc.cadoni
It's not all about Stamina, because attributes is connected between them.

Something for me to keep an eye out for in my own saves too then!

I wasn't trying to downplay what you said btw....this is my guy so I am wondering if his work rate and aggression are the cause of his stamina dropping off as quickly as it does. No it is fine, I did not really realise that this was a thing, that different players could be seen to behave quite differently. I have a really small squad in my save so I do not get a lot of rotation done, so I mainly play the same players when I can. And it got me interested that maybe there is a way to look for players who will get tired slower. My first idea would be stamina and natural fitness being the most important things. I may give this a test at some point. Use the IGE to change attributes of a given player one at a time and see how fast his condition drops in a game. Work rate is another one that could make a difference. Perhaps also acceleration and pace? The slower a player the more he has to run? That might be a stretch though. Lots of food for thought here!
