No stars visible?

Hi all,

Trying to do a tier 10 game, and running into a minor issue. I started out the game with Tier 10 Rusthall, but I have zero staff. I probably can't afford to hire staff, and anyway even the worst staff don't want to sign with me. But it seems like without at least a Director of Football, no stars display for any players, even my own. 

Can someone confirm if this is the case? Is there any way to have the stars display without a Director of Football? I WOULD like to have the stars instead of going entirely to a no-star system.

Just answered this in your other thread, but... You need one member of staff to see stars. Shouldn't be a DoF (too expensive). I'd always start with an assistant manager.
