AndyRokit
Suggestion: Combine [Time Wasting] and [Goalkeeper in Possession] into a single [Restart play] attribute with the following levels [Quickly/Standard/Slowly] (or potentially a 5-tick slider). Reasoning: - Having 2 different levels of time wasting seems a bit excessive as a stand-alone setting - Quick free kicks should be a thing - The two are essentially linked anyway, it would just extend the GK behaviour to other set pieces further up the field - The two settings can be contradictory. E.g. [Time wasting: Never][GK: Slow pace down] or [Time wasting: Frequently][GK: Distribute Quickly] I would imagine that (in addition to the time taken) the different settings may have a effect on the outcome of Indirect free kick or corner routines. E.g. [Restart play:Quickly] may result in a [stand with hand on ball] animation as the player looks for a quick pass to restart. For a short period, the player would weigh up the set piece using the [Short] option, before reverting to whatever was set in the tactic if no opportunity is identified (much like GK or short distribution). Overall I think this setting would combine two less meaningful options into one more meaningful one.
SI Staff Abdullah Patel Posted January 6, 2023 SI Staff Share Posted January 6, 2023 You can want your keeper to take their time on the ball (in order to pick a pass) but not necessarily want your team to time-waste. Though understand how that can be interpreted differently. Thanks for your suggestion, it may or may not end up in a future FM with further development.
