22.3 database issue

Hi, just started a new game with the 22.3 winter update playing as manager of Glasgow Celtic. One of the January signings from Japan is missing from the team, and doesn't seem to appear anywhere in the game - Daezan Maeda. Is this a bug or is there a rights reason for the player (and the j-league) being missing (Celtic's three other Japanese players are present in the team)

I'm sure someone official may answer, but I believe it is a rights issue.  If SI don't have the rights to include Japanese teams, there's no parent team for Maeda to belong to, therefore the place he's being loaned from doesn't exist.

Ok, I get that, however Maeda isn't a loan player, he's a permanent signing. Also, the other three players from Japan who play for Celtic are included in the team - Kyogo Furahashi, Reo Hatati and Yosuki Ideguchi. Kyogo was signed during the summer window while Maeda, Hatati and Ideguchi were all signed on Jan 1st 2022

Reports say he's on loan the other 3 were permanent.

All news items about him state that he is on loan for the  season and that Celtic have an option to buy at the end of the season.

I had thought he was an immediate permanent transfer, wires crossed obviously. Annoying but understandable then if SI haven't maintained rights to J league that he's not in the team, despite being an important player

As said above, Japanese league players aren't licensed in FM and as his full contract is with his parent club despite joining Celtic on loan, we're unable to include him at this time. It is something we're investigating with the aim of adding him for a future update if possible.
