Temporarily send player to II team (for friendly vs senior team) OR explain to player he is demoted just for the friendly

I have scheduled a friendly vs my II team during winter break. I would like to have some of my first team players on the II team for the match to gain fitness, etc. Can't do this via the "Make Available for II team" right-click menu option, because they become ineligible to play for the II team due to the first team having a game the same day (spoiler: it's the friendly I'm trying to have him play in). So my other option is to send the players to the II team outright. However this upsets many players and leads to squad issues.

Would like the ability to specifically send a player to the II team in order to play in a friendly vs the first team, OR give me the option in the ensuing discussion to explain to the player that he's sent down only for this friendly match and will be straight back into the first team.
