How do I disband my U23 team, in order to adapt a B-team style model?

So, I've been reading certain articles online about the writers' fm saves, and a popular trend - especially when managing in the premier league - is to disband the U23 team and set up a B-team model, taking more control of the B-team through friendlies rather than relying on your staff to manage and develop younger and unfit players.

My question revolves around how? 

I've just reached the end of the season with Southampton, and I want to try my hand at this model. When am I able to remove the U23s and how? Any help would be appreciated.

The board will ask you if you want to. I've had it right after that season review thing, the board asked if I want it from next season or not. I don't think there's an option to do it though, it'll just happen

I think you have an option to Opt out of a Under 23 league and then you team will just play Friendlies
