lblanc
After watching the documentary in regards to their academy setup on FIFA + I've decided to start a youth first save with Anderlecht. Over the last few years South-Western Brussels based club has become a treasure trove of nurturing young Belgian talent. Romelu Lukaku, Youri Tielemans, Leander Dendoncker, Jeremy Doku, Vincent Kompany to name but a few in fact 8 members of the Belgian squad who finished 3rd in 2018 World Cup can trace part of their development back to Anderlecht (Kompany, Fellaini, Tielemans, Lukaku, Dendoncker, Mertens, Januzaj, Batshuayi). The current crop emerging has the potential to go far too The likes of Yari Verschaeren, Mario Stroeykens, Killian Sardella, Marco Kana, Anouar Ait El Hadj, Zeno Debast, Antoine Colassin all extremely talented players already in the first team picture. My main aims for this save : Give youth their chance- If I sell a player a youth player will be given first option to replace them, (If not I will buy youth or look to perhaps bring home a former Purple Talent) Reclaim the Belgian League- Anderlecht are the record holders but they haven't won the league title since 2017. Build for Europe, Anderlecht have won the UEFA Europa League Once in 1983 and the old Cup winners cup twice back in 76 and 78, with the level of talent being produced there is no reason this great club can't get back challenging for European honours again. lblanc
Squad Overview. Goalkeepers First team There are currently 4 goalkeepers in the first team squad, Crombrugge is the undisputed number one (and club captain) with Coosemans decent backup, Verbruggen, has good potential. Sebtaoui is on a non-contract and is nowhere near the level needed so he'll most likely be getting released. Wellenreuther is on loan at Willem II and I'll be honest despite him being a good player I'd rather develop a home grown/Belgian talent so he may be sold when he returns. Youth Teams Wout Meese (U18) and Vanhoutte (U21) seems the biggest talents in the youth team, perhaps one of them might make the jump into the first team squad in the next few years. Defenders First Team So much potential here already, a good mix of youth and experience, the likes of Wesley Hoedt and the on loan Lisandro Magallan will be key mentors for the youngsters, Delcroix and Debast have potential as does Kana (though I plan to play him further forward in midfield) Youth Teams Again the youth team is brimming with potential here, Florian Nicaise, Ali Maamar, Ebenezer Agyei and Matteo Moreno Madrid all have potential to move up as do the likes of Arno Herssens, Noah Sadiki, Loic Masscho and Mohammed Bouchouari.
lblanc
Squad Overview Midfield First Team Once again the potential here, Kana, Anour, Colassin,Amuzu all have bright futures, The likes of Josh Cullen and Kristoffer Olsson have that little bit more experience to help nurture the current crop too. Youth Team Some more potential starts here Maxim Kireev and Chris Lokesa could well be making the jump the first team soon as could Nils De Wilde, also a surprise to see former FM wonderkid Zakaria Bakkali lurking in the U21's too though he is transfer listed and I might just sell. Forwards First Team A little bit of Overlap here with other positions shows the versatility in the squad, Verschaeren, Anouar,Stroeykens all potential World Class talents already ready for minutes. The two on loan strikers Zirkzee and Kouame can fill the gap for the time being at CF. Youth Team that is due to the potential of one Lucas Stassin lurking in the u18's he might just get his chance this season, other potential first teamers include Isaac Tshibangu and Enock Agyei

Looks like he moved in January and hence is now at Pro Vercilli, he's still quite the talent and will be on my list of potential buy backs.

Lewis007
Spoiler Spoiler I hope I have restored some glory to Anderlecht but there is still work to do amig! The finances are dire and we have 0 transfer and wage budget for next season.

Lewis007
Yes amig. I ended up selling Sergio Gomez to Manchester City for £55m as he wanted to leave and had two years left on his contract. This, coupled with 2 UCL SF appearances has meant the club is now debt free with over £100m in the bank; hooray! We also have 2 UCL group stage slots in the league now so hopefully other teams grow too. However, there have already been 2 clubs (Union Saint-Gillioise and Cercle Brugge) who have called in the administrators
lblanc
Pre-Season and first two months down A cracker away to Kortrijk was followed by two loses one away to Osijek and then at home to Charleroi , Kouame has been immense so far scoring 5 goals. The results so far have me 2nd in the league behind Genk on goal difference (who I play after the International break) The 2-1 aggregate win over Osijek meant I qualified for the group stage of the Europa Conference League, in terms of the group I'm happy enough. With the right bit of luck I can get out of that group. In terms of formation and tactics I've gone with the old reliable 4-2-3-1. Next update will be just before the January Transfer Window. Man City are also after Sergio Gomez too! Did you also keep Kouame? I didn't extend the loan cos wage was too much, So I bought in Macias, from Chivas. Also got those 2 strikers from youth intakes too, both was rated top by HOYD. Also got this gem through intakes as well Already played 8 games for first team, Made his debut at 15. Lewis007
Spoiler I didn't keep Kouame as I don't like to have players on loan and I also wanted to only purchase regens in this save, so that's what I've done. Actually just sold on my first regen that I got on a free transfer: Spoiler Spoiler Only for £31m as that was his release clause that was non-negotiable in his contract sad times. Gutted his minimum release clause is 31M. Looking at his attributes, could have got around 80-100M at least I didn't keep Kouame, on either, despite him being top scorer last season. Lewis007
He was a very sexy man amigo, but it's a £31m profit I guess. Your regens don't look half bad either... Give them game time/loan them out amig. I'm very much enjoying this save, though still no UCL... SF's a few times, I can smell it.

Lewis007
I've honestly never seen Moukoko leave Dortmund that's incredible. Can't believe you sold Yari Verschaeren for so cheap though guy is an absolute stud! Then again Zakharyan isn't a bad replacement

So decided to boost the attacking by bringing in Zakharyan.
john1
Still on decent run in Champions League Will expect to go out in next round However, I rested first team players ( we played Beerschot, (Drew 1-1) before 2nd leg so justified really.
