Turning an icon into a legend.

Hey! 

Just a General query here, I’m wondering if anybody knows if there is any certain parameters that turns icons into legends. For example;

Do they need to win x amount of trophies? Do they need to achieve x avg rating consistently? Etc

Reason i ask is because on my current Aberdeen save Calvin Ramsay (local lad) is already a legend while i have a newgen from my academy already at icon status at 20yo after coming 1st on the nxtgen list and made 100 appearances already.
