corinthiano
September 2055 Well, this certainly was not the way I expected us to start. Beating Royal FC didnt come as much of a surprise, but putting such a dominant performance away from home was completely unexpected. Its only two games but I'll enjoy the view from 2nd placeĀ . Next Fixtures These are all strong sides so lets see if we can keep momentum.
corinthiano
October 2055 The striking problems from last season resurfaced as we played better in all 3 games but only got 2 points out of it. Think I know what our next priority will be when the transfer window opens again. Still sitting pretty in mid-table though. Next Fixtures We are playing the two promoted teams next month so it would be nice to get back to winning.
corinthiano
November 2055 Two good away wins before a disappointing defeat at home to EAFC ZiniarƩ, where we dominated but couldnt find a way through their defence. Transfers In Out Alphousseyni was signed in the off-season but didnt turn out to be as good as my scouts said he was. He also failed to settle at the club and asked to leave and I was happy to as it opened up a foreign spot for us to sign the striker we needed. Stephane is young and was available on a free, he is still a bit raw but hopefully can add firepower to our attack. Next Fixtures A tough December for us as we go to the top two teams in the league, hoping we can pick up some points in the other games.
corinthiano
December 2055 / January 2056 I played through January as there was only one game before the mid-season break and the transfer window closed in the same month. We knew it was going to be tough but we went into a terrible winless run in December, which we managed to break in the last game before the mid-season break. It was against CFFEB, who had just turned me down for a job a few days earlier, so that'll show them. Transfers In Out A big part of the transfer window was moving along unhappy players and replacing them, whether they were first team starters or back-ups. We also strengthened in goal, where Ben Aziz Nakoulma turned us down for a permanent transfer but then his new club decided to loan him out so we got him for no wages. Gutted we didnt get him in permanently as he has bags of potential, will certainly try to renew the loan or sign him permanently in the off-season. Moussa Diallo was upset I rejected an offer from AS SONABEL, so with equally good options available I let him go and signed Admonio, who also looks decent. Next Fixtures Fixtures are a little bit kinder in February, but still playing quite a few top half teams.
corinthiano
February 2056 We put in some solid performances to extend a 5 game unbeaten run until RC Bobo edged an even game to end the month on a sour note. I cant complain though as we already have 2 points more than last season with another 11 games to go and are miles ahead of the relegation zone. Next Fixtures With two home games against relegation strugglers I would like us to make the most of it and try to finish the month close to the top half of the table. corinthiano
March 2056 A perfect month and we creep into the top half of the table. Next Fixtures A much tougher month so hopefully we can do enough to keep inside the top 8. We also start our Coupe du Faso campaign and with a kind draw and little to really play for in the league we can hopefully have a bit of a run this year.
corinthiano
April 2056 It was a decent month considering how tough the fixtures were, especially considering we were close to getting a win at As Douanes and a draw against CF Rahimo. In the Coupe du Faso two unspectacular and comfortable wins see us get to the Quarter Finals. Next Fixtures Last month of the season and I would love to go up one place and finish 8th. In the Coupe du Faso we will certainly be underdogs, but we drew at home in the league against ASFA-Yennenga so you never know.
corinthiano
May 2056 A strong finish in the Fasofoot D1 means we finish just inside the top half. The loss in the Coupe du Faso was gutting as we were leading with 2 extra men on the field until somehow ASFA-Yennenga equalized in the 85th minute... corinthiano
2055/56 Season Review Great season as we really look comfortable in the league now, getting a very decent 8th place finish and not really being completely outplayed by anyone. In the cup we had a good little run but it could have been more if we had held ASFA-Yennenga with 9 men... Squad by Appearances I was really happy with the strength of our first XI this season, but we did lack depth in a few positions. Best XI We are still not freely scoring but it was nice to have Sirima go from 1 to 16 goals this season. Top Performers Made such a difference this year, protecting the back four really effectively. Ran the midfield for us as the BBM. Was really solid in defence for us. Finances We actually made a bit of money this season but we are still way in the red and the board reduced the wage budget by almost $5k p/m so we will have to clear out some players to be able to improve the squad again. Progress Steady progress but we are still some way away from competing for the title. There are only two teams I think would be worth making a jump for, CFFEB and Asec-K, otherwise we will keep progressing with Santos Ouagadou.
corinthiano
2055/56 West African Review CAF Champions League Really strong participation as half the teams are West African, but only 3 make it past this stage. Enyimba Aba get to the final for a second successive season and lose out again to Ghanaian opposition, this time Asante Kotoko who lift their 7th trophy. CAF Confederation Cup 7 West Africans make it here, including rarer appearances from Burkina Faso and Benin. Diambars FC was the only West African to make it to the latter rounds and they almost managed to win the title, losing to Zamalek in the final, who claim their 3rd title. West African League Rankings Benin and Burkina Faso move up due to their continental performances, with the latter overtaking Togo. League Champions Only one new champion in Cape Verde and in Senegal we almost have 3 teams with the most titles. Former Champions MC Breweries: After almost being promoted they finish bottom of the second tier and are relegated into an unplayable league. Kamboi Eagles: Finish bottom of the SLPL and are another team going into an unplayable division. NĆ“ Pintcha da Brava: Probably their worst year since Kojo left as they finish 4th in the Liga Brava and are knocked out in the Semi Final of the TaƧa Brava. AFC Nhacra: Had a poor defence of their title as they only finish 7th. Also knocked out early in the cup, but at least won the Super Cup. AyĆ©ma FC: A stronger campaign as they finish 3rd, only to points off top spot. CNEPS Excellence:Ā Fail to retain their title, finishing in second. Do win the League Cup again though and did well to get to the Group Stage of the Champions League. Banjul Utd: Promoted from an unplayable league back to the Second Division for next season. ASN NIGELEC: Very strong season as they miss out on the title due to goal difference, but win the Coupe du Niger as consolation. Unisport: Cant make it 3 in a row as they finish second behind ASKO. In the Champions League they were heavily beaten by Pyramids FC in the Preliminary Round. Edited February 19, 2023 by corinthiano
corinthiano
2056/57 Season Preview We are not predicted to be relegated anymore and the board also expects us to finish in mid-table, so expectations are higher all round. Transfers In Out A lack of money and interest from players meant we did not really make any significant additions to the squad. It was good to sign Nakoulma on a permanent basis and a couple of loanees will fight for a place in the first XI but that is it. We did let a lot of squad players go to free up some wage budget and Carlos CassamĆ” was the only significant loss we had, at least we managed to loan him back for this season. Nothing special, but will fight for a starting spot at RB. Fairly promising defender, hopefully he develops well here next season and is interest in coming to us permanently for next season. Best XI Me and the Assistant are aligned on a side that is pretty similar to last season. We have better depth but I am not foreseeing a much better campaign than last year. Initial Fixtures A tough start followed by two winnable home games. Edited February 23, 2023 by corinthiano
corinthiano
September 2056 The US Forces ArmƩes result was disappointing as we played well enough to earn a draw and they stole a win late on. We did make up for it though with two comfortable home wins to give us a decent start to our campaign. Next Fixtures A tough month as we play some of the big teams at home, whilst recently promoted Faso Athletic Club have had a great start to life at Fasofoot D1. corinthiano
October 2056 A good month as we pick up 3 wins and move up to 4th. We did take the lead against ASFA-Yennenga but they were a lot better than us and in the end ran out comfortable winners. Next Fixtures Another tough set of fixtures so lets see if we can keep the momentum going.
corinthiano
November 2056 A few bad results and we drop down to 6th. Next Fixtures Let's hope we can pick our form back up before the mid-season break.
corinthiano
December 2056 / January 2057 Just went I thought we were back on track we drop points against the teams in the bottom of the league and miss the chance to cement a place in the top half of the table. The loss against RĆ©al du Faso was extremely frustrating, they handnt picked up a point before we played them and they scored 50% of their goals against usĀ Transfers Out No transfers in as we couldnt really afford anyone decent. On the outgoing front it was mostly young players that are not good enough or unhappy fringe players. SĆ©verin Dao is a youngster with lots of potential so hopefully some game time in the second tier will do him good. Next Fixtures After the mid-season break we have two winnable home games and two tough away days. I would be good with 6 points.
corinthiano
February 2057 The month went as expected so I cant have any complaints, we almost got back into the game with Salitas FC but it wasnt to be. We are just hanging on to a top half spot. Milestones Next Fixtures It is a tricky month, so hopefully we can end it still in the top 8.
corinthiano
March 2057 A decent month considering the fixtures we had and we hang on to a top half place with 5 games to go. Next Fixtures An easier month in the league so hopefully we can put ourselves in a strong position to finish in the top half. We got a tough draw in the Coupe du Faso though so I would not be surprised if our run was cut short this season.
corinthiano
April 2057 A strong month in the league sees us go up to 5th and equal last seasons points record with 2 games to go. In the Coupe du Faso we already had a tough draw and when we went down to 10 men in the 37th minute it was clear we were not going to make it. Youth I never post anything about youth players as this is something I am not focusing on this save but I just had a gem of a player come up in the latest intake. I was looking for a CassamĆ” replacement for next season but now one just landed at our feet, which is great as I can use the spare foreign slot to strengthen another area of the team. Next Fixtures A couple of tough games to finish our season, but I am relatively confident we will finish in the top half.
corinthiano
May 2057 We did really well to rescue a draw at ASEC-K and then easily dispatched US Forces ArmƩes to finish in an excellent 5th place.
corinthiano
2056/57 Season Review Making further progress with a really strong 5th finish. We are still miles off the top sides though and it will take a while to close that gap. Squad by Appearances We had a pretty settled First XI but will need to shift things around a bit next season, with CassamĆ”, Diallo and Belem all not extending their loans. I also will be releasing Isaias Fernandes, he has been great for us but I think I can get a better foreign player in for next season. Also good to see that our top players are now valued at more than $0. Best XI Atheba and Sirima are starting to form a great striking partnership as we scored a lot more goals this season. Top Performers I swapped Atheba and Sirima around halfway through the season and it really paid off as Atheba started scoring a lot more. Wanted to leave at one point, so I was delighted when I was able to tie him down for another 3 seasons. Was great down the left for us and even scored a couple of free kicks. Continues to be really solid for us in the DLP role. Finances Ugh, dont see how this will get better unless the board do something. At least we didnt have another wage budget cut and with some of the players we are releasing there will be room for improvements. Progress Slow and steady with Santos, I still think joining a bigger club might get us there quicker, ASEC-K had a very average season so lets see what happens on the manager front there, they are the club with the 4th best reputation in Burkina Faso so clearly still way above Santos Ouagadogou. corinthiano
Centre de Formation de Football Espoir du Burkina Centre de Formation de Football Espoir du BurkinaĀ are a club from Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou. There is little historical information on the club but the name suggests it is an academy to develop talent in Burkina Faso. Right now they play in the second tier but in-game they have been a constant fixture in the top flight for 20 years, even finishing runners up 10 years ago and winning a Coupe du Faso. There was a bit of a managerial merry-go-round in Burkina Faso and ASFA-Yennenga came in for the CFFEB manager which vacated this spot. They are not a huge step up from Santos Ouagadougou but have $10k p/m extra wage budget, an actual transfer budget of $10k, better facilities and better finances. So whilst it will probably be a side step this season in the long run I believe it is the right move. They share a stadium with Santos Ouagadougou, so that may make things a bit awkward... Assistant XI Looks like defence is where we need to focus our attnetion to first. Top Rated Players Very decent striker but does want to move to a bigger club so lets see how long we are able to stick with him. Solid experienced midfielder. Another decent striker. Finances Love seeing no red in here, although it looks like this because the board keeps putting money in the club. Next Fixtures We have a couple of months before our first fixture but the transfer window closes soon, so we'll have to move quick if we want to improve the squad ahead of that.
corinthiano
2056/57 West African Review CAF Champions League We go down from 8 to 6 teams in the Group Stage, but like last season 3 make it to the Quarter-Final. Hearts of Oak continue their amazing performance in this competition in this decade with their 5th win in 7 years and 7th in total. CAF Confederation Cup Only 5 teams make it here this season, 3 of them Nigerian. Wydad Casablanca dispatch two the Nigerians to claim their 4th title. West African League Rankings Overall not a good year for West Africa as a lot of countries drop in the rankings. With Horoya AC having a terrible time Guinea has now fallen below Burkina Faso and Togo! League Champions No new champions this year as most of the big sides claimed titles. Diambars FC are now the most successful winners in Senegal. Former Champions MC Breweries: Spent the season in an unplayable league but will be back in the second tier next season. Kamboi Eagles: Spent the season in an unplayable league too, TBD if they will make it back next season. NĆ“ Pintcha da Brava: What a turnaround after last season as they go all the way in the Cape Verdean Competition! No such luck in the TaƧa Brava though where they lose in the Semi-Final. AFC Nhacra: Another poor season as they only finish 10th and are knocked out early in the cup. AyĆ©ma FC: A decent campaign, finishing in 4th and 7 points off Buffles FC. CNEPS Excellence:Ā A good run in the Champions League as they get to the Quarter Final, but at home it was a mediocre season, finishing 4th in the league and getting knocked out in the Semi-Final of both the Coupe du Senegal and League Cup. Banjul Utd: Good first year back in the second tier as they finish 4th, 4 points off a promotion place. ASN NIGELEC: Off the pace in the league this year with a 4th place finish, but manage to retain the Coupe du Niger. Unisport: Cant make it 3 in a row as they finish second behind ASKO. In the Champions League they were heavily beaten by Pyramids FC in the Preliminary Round. Edited February 28, 2023 by corinthiano
corinthiano
2057/58 Season Preview Predicted to finish 9th, a couple of places above Santos Ouagadougou. Board is happy with mid-table and I would like top half. Transfers In Out There was not a lot of wage budget left and it was difficult moving players along so I resorted to the loan market to strengthen the squad, but I did get some first teamers on board. The only permanent signing, taking the last foreign slot. This guy will be deadly down the left. Good loan signing from RC Bobo, will be our starting AP. Best XI Agree with most of this, the defence is obviously still a bit weak. Initial Fixtures Its not an easy start, so lets see how we get on. corinthiano
September/October 2057 The first two games were not great, we pulled back from 2-0 down in the first before conceding two late goals from a 2-0 lead in the second. After that we put in two solid, if unspectacular, performances to give us a decent start in the league. Next Fixtures We have a light month against teams in the bottom half of the table, so hopefully we can pick up 9 points.
corinthiano
November 2057 What a terrible month, teaches me not to be overconfident...We got absolutelyu FM'd by Kiko FC before a couple of lacklustre performances sees us drop another 4 points. corinthiano
December 2057 / January 2058 Aside from away to the big boys we were getting good results but not playing very well, that caught up with us in the last couple of games where we were disappointing and only drew against two relegation strugglers. Still, we are in 7th so cant complain too much. Transfers In Out We again raided the loan market for a couple of good CF Rahimo youngsters and a starting RB that will sing permanently for next season. We also signed a starting centre back by freeing up a foreign slot through the sale of David Bessoga to Unisport. Also started clearing out the squad a bit and expect to do more when the season ends. Next Fixtures A couple of tough away trips when we come back from the mid-season break.

corinthiano
Somehow I forgot to save the game last night before exiting, I blame it on the beers I had . Luckily I have a rolling auto-save so only lost the last game against ASEC-K. We were a completely different team when I replayed it, winning 2-0 and turning an average month into a good one. Here are updated results and table.
corinthiano
March 2058 A decent month ends in a disappointing performance that ended a 10 match unbeaten run. corinthiano
April 2058 Good month in the league, especially the win against CF Rahimo, and we are now well set for a top half finish. corinthiano
2057/58 Season Review In the end a very positive season, ourĀ form improved a lot in the second half and I am very happy with a 4th place. Squad by Appearances We rotated the squad a lot and having good depth was key here. The only issue is that a lot of that was through loans which isnt the best for squad planning and continuity. I signed a few of the loanees on a permanent basis already and would like to rely less on them next season. Best XI A lot of players arrived mid season and made a good mark on the club. Top Performers Our top scorer, problem is he wants to leave and I agreed I would sell him for $22k if an offer came in. Its easier that or he leaves on a free at the end of the next season. The equally good strike partner, already working a new deal to keep him longer at the club. Very reliable and experienced, been key at DLP for us. Finances Not great, and that is with the board putting in $65 this season. We are looking at reduced wage budgets for next season. Progress A good first season with CFFEB, now we need to start working on closing the gap to the top sides.
corinthiano
?!? Apparently I also repaired the clubs financial damage even though we are $100k in the red. I'll take the wage budget though!
corinthiano
2057/58 West African Review CAF Champions League 6 teams from West Africa make this stage again, with the two Ghanaian giants and ASEC Mimosas making it through. Kaizer Chiefs sees off the two Ghanaians to claim their second ever trophy. CAF Confederation Cup 6 teams here too, but 4 make it through. We have one side of the draw with only West Africans, which guarantees a finalist and out of all them amazingly it is CNEPS Excellence who claim their first continental title and are the first of the former clubs to achieve such glory! West African League Rankings Despite the good continental performances there is virtually no movement between the leagues, with the only notable exception being Benin who drop 4 places. League Champions Couple of new champions in the lower rep leagues of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde. Former Champions MC Breweries: Good season back in the second tier as they narrowly miss out on promotion, finishing 3rd and losing the promotion playoff. A decent campaign in the LFA Cup too as they get to the Quarter Finals. Kamboi Eagles: Not only are they back in the SLPL but they won it as a promoted side to claim their 7th league title! NĆ“ Pintcha da Brava: A poor defence of their title as they only finish 5th in the Liga Brava and once again in the TaƧa Brava they lose in the Semi-Final. AFC Nhacra: A bit better in the league as they finish 6th, but still out early in the cup. AyĆ©ma FC: A poor year for them as they finish 8th and miles away from the top. CNEPS Excellence:Ā The continental success came at domestic cost as they only finished 5th in the league and did not make any domestic cup finals. Banjul Utd: They are back in the first tier for the first time in 15 years as they finish second in the second tier! ASN NIGELEC: Were a bit better in the league as they finish 3rd, but were unable to make it three Coupe du Niger in a row as they lose in the Semi-Final. Unisport: Disappointing 3rd as they finish miles off a dominant ASC Kara. Edited February 28, 2023 by corinthiano
corinthiano
2058/59 Season Preview Expectations are now higher and we are predicted to finish firmly in the top half. The board also wants us to reach the Semi Final of the Coupe du Faso. Transfers In Out It looks like there was a lot of movement in the off-season, but a lot of that was signing players on loan permanently. And whilst we are not as reliant on loans we still had a couple in. There were three brand new signings that will make the First XI, all in defence, and one that will challenge up front. There is a lack of good goalkeepers in Burkina Faso right now, Ibrahim is at least young and can improve. He is old, but RB was a weak spot of ours and he can cover for a year whilst we look for someone younger. Our first cash signing at CFFEB, his mental attributes arent great but I am hoping he can improve that somewhat through mentoring. We didnt really need a striker, but he is young and was available for free, so will provide good competition up front. Best XI A much more balanced team now, maybe not as much depth in the back but should be OK if we avoid injuries. Initial Fixtures A busy start to the campaign, hosting CF Rahimo early on, lets hope we can start strong. Ā Ā
corinthiano
September/October 2058 Results were as expected as lost to who we would have expected to. The CF Rahimo results was somewhat frustrating as they scored the winner on the 3rd minute of stoppage time in the second half to deny us a precious point. Against Salitas we just didnt turn up in the first half and they punished us. Next Fixtures The fixtures dont get a lot easier as we look to keep up the pace closer to the top of the table. corinthiano
November 2058 A perfect month sees us rise to a strong 3rd place. Transfers Out Kojo's former employer came in for a back-up player and we were happy to take their cash. Next Fixtures We play the big two again next month, lets see if we can get something from them.
corinthiano
December 2058 The month started amazingly, with us beating ASFA-Yennenga convincingly before notching up two more wins to make it 9 in a row. Then our 3 best strikers decided to get injured in the same week...and two abject performances followed, both with red cards. We were close to the top but now there is a clear gap to CF Rahimo. Transfers In Out Two loan players to add depth come in and two fringe players who wanted to leave go out, nothing groundbreaking and I dont expect us to make big signings in this transfer window as all the good players are outside our price range. Next Fixtures Two away games before the mid-season break and with the injuries and suspensions we have we will do well to get a couple of wins here.
corinthiano
January 2059 RC Kadiogo has a player sent off in the first 5 minutes which helped us grind a win and then Cheick CompaorƩ came back to hand us the 3 points against Royal FC. With CF Rahimo and ASFA-Yennenga dropping points we could somehow be in the title race if we win our games in hand... Transfers Out Just fringe players out again, but we did sign sign pre-contracts for two loanees at the club and a couple more on some good players that will join for next season. Next Fixtures The next two fixtures are tricky and might provide the answer on if we are really in the title race.
corinthiano
February 2059 The loss at home to Salitas FC showed we are not quite there yet to challenge for the title. CF Rahimo have played a lot of games early due to their Champions League campaign and whilst we are still technically within striking range I cant see us being consistent enough to catch them or keep up with ASFA-Yennenga and Salitas FC. Next Fixtures We start the month with a tough trip to ASEC-K, but the rest of the games should hopefully be winnable.
corinthiano
March 2059 Definitely off the pace now as we looked to have cemented 4th place in the league. Next Fixtures Tough start to the month with a trip to ASFA-Yennenga before we start our Coupe du Faso campaign, where we dont seem to get easy draws. corinthiano
April 2059 Normally I would be fine with losing to ASFA-Yennenga away, but we were the better team so it was a shame we didnt get out of that game with at least a point. The rest of the month was relatively smooth as we pretty much guarantee 4th place in the league and progress to the Quarter-Final of the Coupe du Faso. Next Fixtures The final stretch in the league, but my priority is in the Coupe du Faso where we have a tough draw at Salitas FC.
corinthiano
May 2059 We fought back in the Coupe du Faso to take Salitas FC to penalties but ultimately couldnt make it. There was a clear hangover from that against AS SONABEL but then we resumed normal service for the last game of the season.
corinthiano
2058/59 Season Review We finish the season in the same 4th place as last season, but with 6 points and only 9 points off the top spot, which is a good improvement. I would have liked to gone further in the Coupe du Faso but being knocked out on penalties to the league winners is nothing to be ashamed of. Squad by Appearances Injuries meant we used the squad quite a bit and mostly we were OK from a depth perspective, although the midfield was light at times. Best XI Awards Abdoul Aziz grabbed himself a very deserved Young Player of the Year Award and was only 1 goal off the Top Scorer too. Top Performers Undoubtedly our best player and won some games on his own for us. He is not interested in signing a new deal and ASFA-Yennenga are sniffing around so we have a big decision to make on him in the off-season. Second season on loan with us and I am glad to be able to sign him permanently for next season. Wasnt always a starter, but when he was he brought some very solid performances with him. Finances Up almost $25k in comparison to this point last season, but board did not go crazy with a wage budget for next season, but still good enough for what we need. Progress A season of consolidation with promising signs as we even threatened a title challenge and didnt finish too far off the top teams. Hopefully we can start challenging for the title in the next couple of seasons and I would still love that dream Coupe du Faso run to get some continental football.
corinthiano
2058/59 West African Review CAF Champions League Good representation again with 7 teams from West Africa, including Burkina Faso's CF Rahimo, who unfortunately were not good enough to make it past this stage. West African dominance with 3 out of 4 Semi Finalists and Hearts of Oak dominance with their 6th win in the last 9 seasons and 8th overall. CAF Confederation Cup Not as good in the Confederation Cup as only 5 West Africans make it to the Group Stage, but 4 of them go through with the exception being Ashanti Gold of Ghana. We have a Nigeria - Ghana final here too, but unfancied sides version. Ghana come out on top again and Accra Lions win their first ever Confederation Cup. West African League Rankings Burkina Faso move up a slot due to CF Rahimo's Champions League exploits, but Togo and Guinea slide down the rankings, with Benin close to being able to overtake Guinea now...at the bottom the lesser leagues have risen a bit. League Champions No new winners today and most top sides kept dominating in top leagues, other than Senegal, Burkina Faso and Guinea. Former Champions MC Breweries: Finished 4th this year in the Second Tier but won the promotion playoff to get back to the top tier for the first time in 7 years! Kamboi Eagles: Couldnt defend their title but finished a very decent 3rd, 4 points from the top. NĆ“ Pintcha da Brava: Won the Liga Brava again and bowed out in the Group Stage of the Cap Verdean Competition, but were poor in the TaƧa Brava again, losing in the Semi-Final. AFC Nhacra: Regressed again and finished 12th, going out early in the cup too. AyĆ©ma FC: Another poor year for them as they finish 7th and miles away from the top. CNEPS Excellence:Ā Back on track domestically as they win their 8th title and had a decent showing in the Confederation Cup with a Quarter-Final appearance. Knocked out in theĀ Banjul Utd: Good first season back in the top flight as they finish 10th and comfortably away from the relegation places. ASN NIGELEC: Terrible year as they finish 12th, only 6 points away from safety. Also out in the first round of the Coupe du Niger. Unisport: Disappointing 3rd as they finish miles off a dominant ASC Kara. Edited March 20, 2023 by corinthiano
corinthiano
2059/60 Season Preview We move from 5th to 4th favorite this season, still predicted to finish behind the big 3 in Burkina Faso. Transfers In Out Another busy off-season as we looked to revamp the squad and this time some money was involved as we paid over $10k in fees and recouped $7k. The wage budget restriction meant I looked for the loan market to add depth again, but we have signed some exciting additions to the first team. Signed from ASEC-K comes in to replace the retired Shehu, freeing up a foreign slot. Also signed from division rivals, best central defender at the club. Signed on a Bosman, will compete with Ismael Zongo for the other central defence spot. Didnt really have enough wage budget left to sign a DLP, but Mame will do the job this season. Regular starter for Salitas FC last season, not sure why they released him, but not complaining as we got ourselves a strong versatile player. Very excited about this one, he was an amazing youth player that came through the academy at my time during Santos Ouagadougou and I had to bring him over. Best XI No major disagreements with my Assistant here, definitely a much stronger XI and squad than last season, hopefully that can translate into results. Initial Fixtures Tricky start to the season as we go to my old team and then host ASFA-Yennenga.
corinthiano
September/October 2059 After a brilliant start at Santos Ouagadougou we have been uninspiring - outclassed at home to ASFA-Yennenga, just about edging Ćtoile Filante with a last minute winner and then unable to break down a RC Kadiogo side that lost their first 3 games. We need to get better quickly. Next Fixtures Two tough away games and two winnable home games.
corinthiano
November 2059 Results wise this was a decent month, we maybe should have done better against AS Douanes but we played a heavily rotated side. We are not free flowing right now and were made to work for both the wins against teams we should be beating convincingly. Next Fixtures A lot more winnable fixtures before the mid-season break, plus a trip to the unstoppable Salitas FC.
