2feet
I have a great U23 goalkeeping coach. But he's a bit wasted in the U23s, it's only full of squad players trying to get fit. Recently a new 16 year old has arrived in my U18, he is a fantastic youth prospect who could become a great goalkeeper. I tried to move my U23 goalkeeping coach to the U18 by offering him a new contract. I begun by offering him a massive wage increase but he immediately rejected it, turned orange, and insisted on being a U23 goalkeeping coach, take it or leave it. I think this is unrealistic. In real life, such a coach would easily move to the new role in the U18, especially when he has the opportunity to work with a great prospect and especially when he was getting a 50% wage increase as an opening offer. It seems that the game is stuck believing that a U18 coaching role is of lower status than a U23 one, when its not that simple. So I suggest making it easier for staff to move to new coaching roles within the same club, especially when the new contract is financially generous, despite the 'status' of the role being lower.
SI Staff Luke Hume Posted August 15, 2022 SI Staff Share Posted August 15, 2022 Thanks for taking the time to raise this here. This is something which has already been flagged as a request within the community, so has already been documented and is part of our internal database of features for consideration. Like all features raised to us, it could end up rejected, or could after extensive design and development become a part of a future FM.
