Makoto Nakamura
First taking inspiration from PaulHartman's European take on this back in 2019 I attempted this back in 2020 in Asia getting down to Thailand so I'm bringing this back but in Africa. The premise is that I start in the highest ranked nation (Morocco) and win the Champions League with a club from each nation that has never won the Champions League before. In Morocco this rules out Wydad Athletic Club, Raja Club Athletic & AS Forces Armées Royales so I will be taking control of the highest predicted club which hasn't won the Champions League, this being Renaissance Sportive de Berkane who are predicted 3rd in the league and are two-time Confederation Cup winners. Once I win the Champions League in Morocco then I move on to the next highest ranked nation, which is currently Egypt. The difficult thing about doing this in Africa is that the Champions League is almost exclusively for league winners, no finishing 4th in the league and qualifying for the Champions League! I've loaded all players based in Africa and this is how the league rankings look at the start of the game:
Makoto Nakamura
Renaissance Sportive de Berkane, commonly known as Nahdat Berkane or RS Berkane for short, is a Moroccan sports club based in Berkane, Morocco. The club's football team is currently playing in the first division of Moroccan championship Botola. The club finished in 2nd place in the Botola 2 in the 2011–12 season, which led to the promotion to the first division. The club was founded in 1938 under the name of Association Sportive de Berkane. In 1953, the club was named Union Sportive Musulmane de Berkane. In 1966 it was renamed Union Sportive de Berkane and in the same year, a new club was founded under the name of Chabab Riadhi de Berkane. In 1971, both teams merged to make Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (Nahdat Berkane). This merger was beneficial for the club, it entered the 1st division in 1977–78. The RSB regained its spot in the first moroccan division in 2012, under the presidency of Fouzi Lekjaa, who ran the club since 2009. In 2018, RS Berkane won its first ever title, the Moroccan Throne Cup. Berkane have been making steady progress over the years, culminating with their first continental silverware. After their Confederation Cup campaign ended at the quarter-final stage in 2018, they went further in 2019 and lost the final to Zamalek. In 2020, Renaissance Sportive De Berkane was crowned Confederation Cup champions, clinching their first continental title in their history. The club beat Egyptians Pyramids 1–0 in the final game at Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat. In the semi-final, which was played at Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, “RSB” beat countrymates “HUSA”, Hassania d’Agadir 2–1. The two goals of the qualified team were a 20th and a 61st minute penalty kicks scored by the same player, Mohamed Aziz. The CAF confederation cup title won by “Renaissance Sportive De Berkane” yesterday is the seventh of its kind for Moroccan football and the fifth if the new format of the competition is being considered. RS Berkane’s 2019–20 season was impressive as the Oranges were chasing for the domestic league title up until the final fixtures. They eventually finished third on the national league table (Botola Pro) with 57 points, three points behind champions Raja Casablanca. Additionally, they only lost three games out of 30, the lowest in the league. Lets begin!

Makoto Nakamura
October 2021 Another very strong month and it could've been even better iif we were clinical against the strugglig Rapide Oued Zem. They easily beat Chicken Inn but the Sudanese outfit are stronger than anyone we've faced so far.

Makoto Nakamura
October 2022 We have our first domestic defeat! This is definitely because we'd had two men sent off by the 48th minute and OC Khouribga scored both their goals after that. Two more big wins in the Champions League! Makoto Nakamura
November 2022 Two losses?!? We're still just top of the league.
Makoto Nakamura
December 2022 Still top of the league and we actually have a domestic cup to play in this season! Youssef El Fahli is quickly becoming one of my favourite strikers, 10 goals in 5 games this month takes him to 27 goals in 19 appearances this season or 63 in the 55 games I've managed him for! Two South African sides! I feel like we have the easiest group though.
Makoto Nakamura
February 2023 A poor month by our standards and we fall down to 2nd with a game in hand, but three games in hand over Raja in 3rd!
Makoto Nakamura
March 2023 Through to the cup quarter final, defeat to Wydad Casablanca means that they're now definitely in the driving seat for the league title whilst we have one game left to play in the Champions League group stage, away at bottom side Racing Club Bobo-Dioulasso. Makoto Nakamura
ENPPI Sporting Club, simply known as ENPPI, is an Egyptian football club based in Cairo, that competes in the Egyptian Premier League. The club is related to Enppi (Engineering For The Petroleum And Process Industries), which was established in 1978. ENPPI overachieved and finished 3rd last season, things haven't quite gone to plan this season. So many players have made a first team appearance that I couldn't put them all on one screen, and it's only been 14 games!
