My guess would be that you are there because Polonia have played in the European competitions in the past and you remain in the ranking whilst also getting the national coefficient points every year.

S17 - Season 37/38 review

League

We have only joined the club during mid season, and they were down in 9th so moving up to 4th is good result ! Well done to Stomil Olsztyn to absolutely dominate the league. 

 

Finances and Facilities 

The finances are very bad. the status now shows In Debt, so we are very close to administration. I hope that we can turn things around soon.

I would agree, There is also Zawisza Bydgoszcz who also is currently in 5th tier and is also listed in the coefficient page, and looks like they also played in europe some time ago

lol I am too young to remember that time lol  but its true it was the time when Polish football was the best in history.

 

Chinese Golden Generation, Some of them had really decent careers and some played in Poland lol  But what I find really interesting is that all players that I shown, came through Bayern's academy :O After checking the whole team, approx 70% came through the ranks of Bayern :O

We are predicted to finish 2nd this season, however the board wants to to achieve promotion by winnig the league. This going to be quite tough. We didn't have money to bring in any decent players so most of our team is based on loans and we are still £11 over wage budget

This is going to be really tight, We are sitting in 1st but only managed to pull in front by winning against Jagiellonia in the last game. Overall We are on an amazing run on form, long may it continue so we get promoted.

National Team

A really good year for national team managed by us. We got to WC QF what was way above expectations. Later on we won our Nations League group despite poor start and we are on course to qualify to Euros.

S19 - Season 39/40 Preview

We are predicted to finish 13th , with Pogon out of eqation we are predicted to finish just above the relegation zone, the board wants us to fight against relegation but I am more ambitious, I want us to get playoff spot so that we can fight to get promoted. There are some big teams in this league, with the likes of Korona, Motor or Radomiak. 

Last season our team was about 80% loans, but this year with more budget I made some free transfer to hopefully help us. But I will still be looking to make some loans in.

I don't want to jinx anything, but this looks like we are walking the league atm. won whooping 17 out of 21 games played and we are 9 points at the top !

Exopectedly we have qualified to Euros in 2040 despite a couple of hickups against Ukraine at the beginning and Romaina at the end of the run.

What a season, I was thinking more about playoff place, but I am not complaining about getting promoted. Great season, most of the signings we made prior to the season were great and did improve.

Euro 2040

After a good start we draw against Greece and then lose against Italy, However we still finish 2nd in the group. But what happened to Portugal ? :O

What is Slovakia doing? ! they eliminated reigning  champions, whilst we have swiped Scotland. Denmark next. We have drawn against them before the competition started in a friendly.

We have been dominated by Denmark but manage to narrowly win. Slovakia end their tournament after penalty loss to Greece, who we play next in Semis.

We lose after extra time to Greece, however we got a red card in 92nd and that sorted it.

S20 - Season 40/41 Preview

Season 20 is around the corner, We are expected to finish 12th, but the board expect us to fight against relegation, Well, I hope for playoffs this season to give us a chance to move up as we are so close of top flight. 

We will finally play in the cup, boards expectation of second round is a bit ambitious, this purely depends on the draw. 

Transferwise we have sold players for actual money. £160K paid in, 0 went into transfer budget.

I have made a tough decision and purchased FM23. 
I was initially thinking that I will be able to keep this save until FM24, but decided otherwise as wanted to try something different.

For this reason, I don't think there will be any updates in this save anymore. I did really enjoy it. Managed to win CL with multiple polish teams, what I have never done before.

Thanks for the feedback !  Glad you enjoyed it ! 

I think one of the hurdles that I had in this save was the second teams that didn't join the league pyramid. I think we have only had it in Gornik, but essentially this is helping to build wonderkids. I believe that this is now working in FM23 
Can you imagine having 50% of teams in second division being second teams of clubs in top flight ? 

 

I might create a new thread if I find a save that I find interesting enough to share and I will have as much enjoyment as I had here. Maybe try to build another nation? You never know.
