We won the regular season, the confrence final and the MLS Cup in the end.

The season was not perfect with the bottle job of the Supporter Shield on the last day and the quarter final exit in the US Open.

What a team we had in the end.

We found here a team with only one striker, 3 good CBs and no left back.

We took the scraps or gifts from Inter Miami...Maja, Duncan and for the first part of the season Heber helped a lot.

We played the trade game really really well, probably our best season.

Also the resurrection of from Simone Zaza helped. Suddently midtable Italian side what him back.

  • Cheez3y changed the title to [FM22] Let's Play Monopoly In The Most Balanced League In The World? Learning The Major League Soccer - Chapter III - Minnesota United FC [Paused]

And this save goes into another pause. Or maybe its finished, idk yet.

The real goal of the save was that I fully learn and understand the MLS system.

I would say Im on 98%. 2% are the things I never saw or missed.

I was trying to show almost everything you can do and try to explain the mysterium "MLS".

Couple of things helped me a lot, this one I like to share:

1. Excel spreadsheet

Its nothing special, but it helped to figured out the contracts types and situation.

It will be the toughest thing to understand and the first thing you probably will f*cked things up.

2. Squad View

Always seen the cap impact and contract status is key in my eyes.

Especially in the offseason, when you build/re-build the team.

3. Super Draft

The Draft view is a bit meh and iffy. Things you cant put together so I created a new view.

On this one you see the scouting rec and CA/PA stars, once the scouting is completly finished. Most likely on Draft day.

All you need to do it switch between my view and the General Info, since you cant add the positions to this one.

4. Registration

The registration view is the most important one in my eyes.

Simple and not overloaded.

The most important part is the "Contract types".

Great thread and an amazing guide! Only wish you kept it going.

Ty.

It gettin a bit stale, because the AI isnt that good.

Ofcause I could add rules to the recruitment, but this will only stretch it depending on the RNG.

Maybe I will do one more before FM23 drops.

But for now, Im off to a challenge, which hopefully works.
