Ability to place job adverts when staff are in their last 3 months of contract

Currently you can only place a job advert when there is nobody in a staff position.

As soon as the last game of a season is played, I start employing new staff immediately.

But I can't advertise for the job unless I terminate the staff members contract.

But I don't want to terminate it just yet because if no-one good applies for the job, I may want to renew their contract instead.

 

For example my head of youth dev is pretty good and I may renew his contract.

But if someone better applies I'll take them instead.

So in the last three months id like to advertise and see who applies.

I currently can't do this. I actually have to sack my head of youth dev, then advertise.

Should also be able to post the adverts at least a bit ahead of time for any position where the staff member announces their plan to retire on date X.

Thanks for taking the time to raise this here. This is something which has already been flagged as a request within the community, so has already been documented and is part of our internal database of features for consideration. Like all features raised to us, it could end up rejected, or could after extensive design and development become a part of a future FM.
