FM 14 - Getting To The Top

I have started another thread doing the same thing on FM12 but I have found my old log ins for this site and have decided to use this profile rather than the new one I set up as I could not find the log ins. So here we are and I am returning to my favourite game and the one I spent most hours on. It will be the same concept I will be looking to get to the top of the World and the top of the Hall of Fame.

Take Over - 2013/14 - Pergolettese

 

 

 

I had to wait all the way until January 1st for a job to come up and it was off to the Lombardy region of Italy to a side that want Promotion. I am not sure we will manage it given the struggles that they are going through at the moment but I was bored of waiting for a job to come up so just took the job to get into something. 

 

 

A poor season from them so far as they struggle at the wrong end of the table. it is a fairly tight thing though in these leagues and a few wins on the bounce will rocket you up the leagues. I do not have any time to waste as I need results and I need them quickly.

January / February / March  - 2013/14 - Pergolettese

 

I took  over and lost my first couple of games in charge. I was expecting this as we settled down and I got to know the players and also settle on a tactic. We did settle a little bit in the league and eventually pulled away from the bottom section of the league and into the middle of the league. We still are in a very good chance of hitting the playoffs this season. We are 20 points behind the leaders and I dont think we will catch that up. We went out in the C Cup as we lost both legs. We are going to need to keep winning and pushing forward to keep towards the promotion spots.

End of Season   - 2013/14 - Pergolettese

 

We got beat in a game that we should have really won as we are better than that side. Three wins and a draw in our last four games was enough to put us into 7th. This apparently is a promotion which I am unsure as to why but I will take it. Not sure if there is some sort of rezoning for next season. 

 

Stars of the Season

 

Fedrico Rizzi - a very good left back who did superb for us. He is very solid at the back. 

Mario Scietti - another good performance from our other wing back another solid player

Nicolo Esposito - he has scored a few goals and had a couple of assists but mainly he just keeps the game ticking for us.

 

 

No changes here really Jose Mourinho had a chance to move up as he got into the semis of the Champions League. 

 

Next Year

 

I will be here again I am intrigued to see where and what league I end up in. I am going to have to look at the squad as there is a few faces leaving especially the guys on loan. I will be looking to add a name or two along the way to.

Pre Season   -  Serie C1A -2014/15 - Pergolettese

 

I am surprised that we are given odds this low as I thought we would be a lot lower. I do think that it is very close between most of the teams in the league. Even our parent club are below us. I think we do have a little bit of a chance but who knows. With all teams being so close its hard to see how we will do. 

 

 

We let a lot of players go who would not be playing much of a part. I needed to clear some money off the wage bill to if I wanted to recruit some new players into the squad. We needed to do so as the quality we have is not great. 

 

Luca Ferri - had him on part ownership signed him permanently as he will do a job. 

Thibault Alet - joins on a free from France he will get a lot of game time up top for us. 

Youness El Hajjam - a good player to sit at the base of our midfield.

Antonio Picci - another option of a striker 

Enrico Alfonso - I needed a keeper and he was about as good as I could get

Morris Carrozzieri - another good Defender for us to use

 

The rest of the guys who came in were players just for depth or kids coming. I think we have a decent little squad but I am not sure how it will compare to some other sides as there is some big teams at this level.

August / September   -  Serie C1A -2014/15 - Pergolettese

 

Started off with the C Cup, we lost our first game against a very good side. We then beat the next, this was enough to see us into the next round of C Cup. We started off our C1A campaign in incredible form as we only dropped 2 points. We are scoring for fun as well at the moment which is always good news. My two strikers Jeda and Alet have been in super form. I am hoping we can keep this up

October / November / December -  Serie C1A -2014/15 - Pergolettese

 

 

In this period we really did very well. Firstly in the Serie C Cup we did a decent job, we got a draw and snuck through on pens to the next round in a game we did not play well in. We smashed the next team to go into the 3rd group round. We did not show up in the 3rd group and only got a point which really is not good enough. We were out. We had some fantastic performances in the league as we got some good wins. I felt like we had left a couple of points with other teams that could have maybe won. That being said we are top of the league and looking good.

January / February / March -  Serie C1A -2014/15 - Pergolettese

 

 

Four games won on the bounce at the start of the year put us bang in the mix at the top of the table. We then hit a little bit of a wobble and I am not sure why as we did not change too much. A five game run with no wins just very odd. I was particularly worried that we did not score many at all. We soon turned it around and got back to winning ways. We managed to seal a play off spot which is great and was more than I was expecting this year really. We are top of the league as well which is fantastic. 

 

Ricardo Carllini - a player who can play a number of spots across the back for us. I think he will get better as well so I really like him

Alfonso De Lucia - an option in goals for us he is a good player and really a decent option

End of Season -  Serie C1A -2014/15 - Pergolettese

 

We finished the year off with a great finish. We only conceded two goals in five games. This was enough to give us the title. It is amazing to have secured the title as I thought we had a decent squad but maybe not as good as others. We only lost four games all year which was the main reason for our success. 

 

Stars of the Season

 

Amedeo Tacchinardi - a super player in the middle of the park who did all roles for us. Very creative for us. 

Evans Soligo - bought as a squad player but I could not drop him he scored a lot from the midfield. 

Thibault Alet - played better than I could have hoped scored a ton for me. 

 

 

Jose Mourinho has just won the FA Cup and the Premier League so pushed up the rankings a fair bit. 

 

Next Season

 

Not sure really we will be in Serie B with a decent Serie C1 squad. I will hope to bring in a few new faces and some more quality to get us through. I will also be listening to the market to see if much is open.

Pre Season   -  Serie B -2015/16 - Pergolettese

 

Here are the Seasons Preview. As I thought we would struggle a little bit this year and the media clearly think the same. There are some huge clubs in this league. Teams like Cagliari, Palermo, Verona and Brescia. This is a massive step for us.

 

 

We have not done as much as we did last year. We only let the one player go. He had not played much for us so he is off. I signed a lad from Inter on shared ownership, to be honest I didnt want him so he will be sold soon. 

 

Perrick Rakotoharisoa - a good midfielder joins from Le Harve a good bit of experience. 

Cristian Altinier - another striker to add some competition up top for us lots of experience. 

Alex Sirri - good defender who will be playing a lot

Roberto Guttio - I think the best player we have signed a very good midfielder who will get lots of game time.

August / September   -  Serie B -2015/16 - Pergolettese

 

We managed to get into the Cup this year. First up we faced Como they are a good side but a side that we took out. We then managed a superb win over Genoa to put us into the next round. The league has been really tough. We started off really well getting a few points, we then dropped off a bit as we lost three on the bounce.

October / November / December -  Serie B -2015/16 - Pergolettese

 

We have had a really good period here. Unbeaten at one stage for for five games was fantastic. We are scoring plenty I think there is a slight issue with our defence but going forward we have not got a problem. I think being in midtable is a lot better than I thought we would be any certainly better than it looked like a short time ago. I am not saying we are safe but there is going have to be a bit of a dip for us to get there. 

 

Pape Diamanka - joined on a free he will be a very good player and will get lots of games for us.

January / February / March -  Serie B -2015/16 - Pergolettese

 

 

After the good form that I was in I was gutted to hit a run of bad form. The cup was always going to happen. Catania are a decent Serie A side and find themselves in 7th this year so to loose is no big shame. We lost four on the bounce before slowly returning back to some form. We are now well and truly midtable. I dont expect us to do much either way now I think we will just be a mid table side which is not too bad given we have had two promotions on the trot.

End Of Season -  Serie B -2015/16 - Pergolettese

 

We had a bit of mixed time here. We had enough to stick in midtable and to being the most mid table in the world. Surviving was the main aim here and we secured that fairly early on. I think we are a decent team but we are a million miles away from any form of consistency that would get us near the top of the table. All in all it was a superb season and one that I am very pleased with. 

 

Stars of the Season

 

Perrick Rakotoharisoa - was immense this year when he came in. I am very pleased to have him

Alfonso De Lucia - took the number one spot to be his own and was good enough for me

Alex Sirri - another new signing who has been incredible this year. Other clubs want him so we will do well to keep him

 

 

 

Jose and Pep have done well winning the Premier League and Champions League. They are chasing you Fergie

 

Next Year

 

So I have been offered an International Job and I have decided to leave here. I want to be in charge of either a club or a nation not both. I have a good time here but I think now is the right time to move on.

Results -  Olympics  -2016 - France Under 23s

 

 

I took over the France job as I felt we had a chance to do something in the Olympics. I thought a decent little run would be coming. We won in our build up match in a game we dominated. Two wins and a loss in the Group stage was ok but I was disappointed to loose as we played better. Germany beat us and to be fair we were by far the second best team. I left after this game and am now unemployed

Angers SCO - Take Over - 2017/18

 

 

 

It took a long time but I have a new job. I was picky with what job I wanted as I wanted to go somewhere that would help build up the reputation. The club I chose was Angers SCO. They are a Ligue 2 side who have just finished bottom of the league and been relegated so we should be favourites or at least one of them for the league next year.

Angers SCO - Pre Season - 2017/18

 

Being recently relegated it was always very likely that we would be among the favourites to bounce back up. I think we have a decent squad so we certainly stand a good chance of being in the mix for it. 

 

 

When I took over we were 13k over wage budget and also nearly a million in debt I am doing all I can to put us on the right track. We are doing this by letting the big earners go and trying to cash in on some youth players with potential, with a sell on fee too. 

 

Karl Toko - this deal was agreed before I came but I think he is a decent enough player

Wesley Said - scored 14 goals at this level a couple of years ago. 

Benjamin Graton - a good player in a position of need for us, so pleased to get him

Gregoire Amiot - played 11 games in Ligue 1 last year bit of a steal

Angers SCO - August / September - 2017/18

 

 

A very good start to the season for us as we only dropped 4 points. We lost against Amiens who have started like a house on fire and the FC Istres who we drew against are favourites for promotion so not too bad. Going forward we are very good. My two new strikers have hit the ground running and doing very well. I think this will be a fun season.

 

 

A few youngsters left all of which were promising. I do have sell on fees for all of them. The issue is we are loosing money. We are 2k under wage budget but over a million in debt. The issue is that we do not get any TV money so we are financially struggling we will need to get promotion to sort it.

Angers SCO - October / November / December - 2017/18

 

An incredible run as we just seem to win every single game we play. We are out playing all teams and dont seem to be getting threatened. Our defence is outstanding. The only slightly disappointing thing is that Amiens are doing very similar to us and winning nearly all of their games as well. We did just beat them convincingly so I hoping that pushes them down a little now. We are also through to the 10th round of the cup. We have not beaten any big teams but we are doing well. 

 

Pat Lowe - comes in on a free decent player who can be used in a number of spots

Thomas Dixon - left Liverpool in the summer and I snapped him up, lots of potential

Rodolphe Lambert - left Clermont and I grabbed him, he is very good now

Angers SCO - January / February / March - 2017/18

 

The Cup dream got us all the way to the 1/4 finals. We beat a Ligue 1 side Tours 18-17 on pens which was nervy before loosing out to Ligue 2 promotion chasing Nimes. I was not expecting to get anywhere near as far but its always a shame when you go out. We had a couple of wobbles in the league dropping a few silly points here and there. We have now been promoted though and I am fully expecting the league title will soon follow. I have also just signed a new 2 year deal here.

Angers SCO -End of Season - 2017/18

 

 

I was a little worried when we lost our first game as we had not been in particularly stunning form. We soon turned it round as we only dropped two more points till the end of the season. In the end we won the title by 6 points. I think most other years Amiens total would be enough for the title but not this year as we were superb. 

 

Stars of the Season

 

Majed Al-Dossari - a very good midfield player who helps a lot more in the attacking side than the defensive but is great

Karl Toko - he is the main man up top all he does is score he is a fantastic player

Philippe Bellec - another key in the middle of the park

 

 

It seems Fergie is going to be soon overtaken by Pep and maybe Jose both are winning stuff in their countries so I would not be surprised to see it happen soon. 

 

Next Year

 

I think I will be here again unless something massive comes up. I am keen to go to a Top League side so if someone wants to give me a shot I will go if not I will stay put. I need to start putting in some good figures on this board.

Angers SCO - Pre Season - 2018/19

 

 

We are not expected to challenge at the upper end of the league and relegation battle looks to be on the cards. I very much agree with the media as there is some big teams in this League so I am unsure how we will get on against them. If we can stay up I will be happy

 

 

A little bit of a disappointing summer in transfer business. I was not too fussed about the guys who left apart from Hugo Rabilier he was my first choice keeper but would not sign a new deal.

 

Myroslav Tokars'kyi - a new striker who joins from Kyiv I think a very good prospect and will get a lot of time this year. Gives me three quality strikers now

Leonard Arkhangelskyi - my new keeper also from Kyiv, maybe not as good as my last keeper but I think he will do a good job and was about as best as I could do

Jean-Marie Louis - a good right back who I think will improve with time and gives me some good options

Angers SCO - August / September - 2018/19

 

 

What an amazing start to the season we had with a huge win over Sedan to start. We continued this form throughout the period scoring a lot of goals. I would say we are conceding too many for my liking but after being promoted it is to be expected. I am not sure how long this form can last as there has been a few close games that I think we have been a little lucky in. We did go out of the Coupe de Ligue where we lost to Nantes a good side so I am not too worried.

Angers SCO - October / November / December - 2018/19

 

 

Another really busy period of time for us. We remained top but again we did not blow many teams away and everything is just very close. Only Dijon really have been smashed by us. I also dont think we playing amazingly either but just getting by. Maybe that is what Champions do. We have gone out in the Cup as well. All in all its been a good period and will make for an interesting end to the season

Angers SCO - January / February / March - 2018/19

 

Another fantastic period where started to pull away from the chasing pack a little bit. My Ukrainian striker who I signed in the summer has been immense. He has been banging in goals left right and centre. We have only had two games where we have not conceded a goal so that is something that needs to get better and quickly if I am to hold onto this position. 7 games left and I think a couple of wins and we may just grab the title.

Angers SCO -End of Season - 2018/19

 

 

God knows what happened here we fell over the line more than won the title. We just seemed to play awful we could not string together passes and shooting we were very poor. Its like we were very nervous. In the end though our work early on in the season gave us enough to secure the title for us and promotion.

Majed Al-Dossari - superb again for me this year. 11 goals and 14 assists was fantastic for us

Myrsoslav Tokars'kyi - the main man the man with goals an absolute dream

Philippe Bellec - another good player. He is my metronome in the middle of the park

 

Next Season

 

I am not sure really I am open to offers but I also like the idea of building this team up a little bit in the top league. I will see what jobs pop up if any.

CD Leon - Take Over - 2019/20

 

So I decided to leave Angers and not renew my contract as I knew that I wanted a different club. I took my time to pick a club as a few different offers came up and I was unsure where to go but then eventually something came up. 

 

 

I took over in April late on in the season. The club had just finished 4th in the league so were in the playoffs just about to start when I took the job.

CD Leon - End of Season - 2019/20

 

It has not been an ideal start to my time in Mexico. We lost our first game in a poor performance. We then won the next game before drawing and loosing to go out in the semi finals. 

 

Next Season

 

Its been a bit of a false dawn for me here. We only had four games at the end of the year to play. I have tried implementing my tactics but the squad does not quite fit them. I dont think we have the strongest squad in the world. We do have some cash so I can expand the time team in the summer.

CD Leon - PreSeason - 2020/21

 

 

The media do not think that we have much chance of doing anything in this league at all. After the window I cannot say that I would argue with them at all. 

 

 

Perez left the club for a lot of cash. I did not want him to go but I got the opportunity to bring him back on loan, and in fairness I could do with the cash. Henry is a player who I would not be using so I cashed in. A few guys went out on loan who would not be getting a lot of game time. 

 

Nathan Hewitt - a good defender who will be a first team player right away. He has played a lot for LA Galaxy

Victor Hugo Rosales - a great player who can play behind the striker or in the middle. I think he will be a great player at this level. He joins from Real Salt Lake

Alfredo Perez - a fantastic player who joined us back on loan. A player of significant potential.

Jesus Garcia - a decent keeper who will be one of the better players here.

CD Leon - July / August / September - 2020/21

 

Not a bad start all round in the League or the North American Champions League. We have qualified out of our group beating teams from Honduras and a Nicaragua. The group hasnt finished but we are already through. In the league we have been ok, not amazing but not awful. We remained unbeaten for our first 6 games before we threw a stupid game away. We then won 3 on the bounce before failing to win our next two. We have a small squad and feel it when one of the better players is not playing. All in all I am very pleased with the start we have made.

CD Leon -October / November - 2020/21

 

 

I dont know what happened here. I have not changed anything at all but we just fell away. We won our first game but after that we could not buy a win. We went into the playoffs thankful to our early season form but did nothing as we were knocked out straight away

CD Leon -December / January / February - 2020/21

 

We have started a little better than we ended the Opening Stage. We oddly enough have become a little more scrapy and I am not sure why. Some of these games we would have lost a few weeks ago but now we are drawing or even taking all of the points. We are now right at the top of the League. We have lost our first leg in the Champions League but with a bit of luck and good form we could well get over that. 

 

 

Colman going on loan is a good move as he needs game time. I like Britos but he was 32 and the deal was too good to turn down really. 

 

Phil Bowyer - joins on a free from Houston I think a decent striker who will do a job for me

Sam Levy - another to leave Houston and join me I think he will be a bit of a star for us

CD Leon - End of Season - 2020/21

 

 

As quick as it all fell apart last time out it all came together this time really nicely and out of nowhere really. In the League after an issue or two to start things soon turned around and we were winning again. I dont know why as I had not changed anything. We found ourselves finishing 2nd in the league and off to the playoffs. We lost the first leg but in an amazing performance we soon turned it round. We smashed Pumas twice and got into the final. We faced Chivas who had not been having a great year we had enough to beat them and won the Closing Stage. In the Champions League we were even better. We turned around our 1/4 final defeat in the first leg to get into the semi finals. We faced a very good LA Galaxy side and had just enough to squeeze past on away goals. In the final it was DC United we battered them 5-0 over two legs and we were champions. 

 

Stars of the Season

 

Helio Guerrero - an excellent midfield player who was the best player at the club. He was great going forward. 

Sam Levy - another great player who joined part way through the season

Cosme Bucio - club captain who creates a lot going forward

 

 

A new face coming Enderson Moreira and Ramon Diaz are doing well in South America and gaining some points. Pep has gone to AC Milan and is not doing too well. Jose is still at Chelsea.

 

Next Season

 

I am not too sure I think I will stay for another year and try to repeat what I have done this year as we have a good little side and maybe able to do it. That being said if a massive job in Europe comes up I would consider it. I think my reputation maybe enough to attract them now.

CD Leon - Pre Season - 2021/22

 

 

The media think we stand a chance and I would have to agree with them. I have not done as much as I would have liked transfer business wise but perhaps more importantly I have not lost some of the players I expected to. 

 

A lot of players left as I tried to get some of my wage budget back. A couple of players left on loan to get game time as they wont here, one includes a new signing who should be good in the future. 

 

Denis Hernandez - a decent young midfield player who goes straight out on loan

Jaime Gomez - a very good right back who will be a first team player for us. This was maybe our weakest spot so good to get a new face in

CD Leon - July / August / September - 2021/22

 

A very good start to the year as we have had a fantastic run. In the Champions League we have demolished everyone we have played and find ourselves in the 1/4 final with relative ease. We only conceded one which is even better. In the League we have only lost once a maddening loss against a decent side. I think its clear Chivas are going to be good again this year as well. I am hoping with a bit of luck we may even finish top of the league this year, we should be in the playoffs with relative ease at least.

CD Leon - October / November / December - 2021/22

 

 

The greatest time ever in the history of Mexican Football I would say. In the League we were imperious being fantastic. We managed to get us into top spot of the Opening Stage we were then by far favourites to win the title. We did just enough to be Pachuca to get into the semi final. We then faced an Atalante side that we should have beaten easily but we did not. We lost the first leg only to draw the second to be out. That was not the main event though it was the Club World Cup. We beat Yokohama first up with relative ease. We then faced the European Champions Arsenal, some how and I do not know how we beat them 3-1. We beat another shock team Orlando Pirates in the final to become Champions of the World.

CD Leon - January / February - 2021/22

 

It has been a really odd start to the Closing Season for us. We have struggled to turn draws into wins. I think the issue is it that we are really tired after the Club World Cup. We have a small squad so I am trying to use as many players as possible but it is tough. We are in the playoffs just about and have done well in the Champions League. We are going to have to improve though. 

 

Horacio Lopez - a young Mexican who comes in, he will get a fair bit of game of time and is a good player

Fitzroy McGowan -  a decent Defender who I think will only improve

CD Leon - End of Season - 2021/22

 

We were very poor in the Closing Stage, we did not dominate as much as we should have done. We are a very good side and to perform the way we did was not good enough. I felt we had strengthened well in the break but it did not come to fruition. We eventually qualified to the playoffs we didnt do to well as went out with a loss and a win against Cruz Azul. Thankfully we got to the Champions League Final again and we would play Cruz Azul, we just had enough to beat them in this over two legs to win it for the 2nd time.

Helio Guerrero - another great season from one of the best players to grace Mexico

Victor Hugo Rosales - signed by me a couple of years ago, he continues to get better and better

Jaime Gomez - I knew he would be good when I signed him but not this good he has been excellent

 

Next Year

 

I am off I think I have done Mexico so it will be time for me to move on I am not sure as to where as I have turned a fair few jobs down whilst being here

AS Roma  - Take Over - 2022/23

 

 

An old favourite for longer players of Football Manager and Championship Manager. There old manager Allegri left to join Dortumund in the summer and I jumped at the chance to join this massive club. They are very much the biggest team I have been at by far in this career so far. They have no done too much in game so far. Other than finishing 2nd a couple of times in the league. I am hoping whilst I am here to win a major trophy.

AS Roma  - PreSeason - 2022/23

 

 

We are one of the teams in the League that the Media think will do well. I think we have a squad good enough to do some damage in this league as well. Juventus and Inter are miles ahead of us though. 

 

 

Most of these were done by the past manager. Anything from the 7th of August was my work. Igor Tomic only left because he was unhappy. I think a few more will leave soon as I clear out some of the deadwood in the squad. 

 

Alessio Romagnoli - a good Defender who has a lot of experience and will add some depth at the back for us

Ingo Kruppke - a lot of money but the German will add something in the middle of the park. He is an excellent player

AS Roma  - August / September / October - 2022/23

 

First up the Euro Cup. We had a very good time in it. First up we beat a Turkish side in the Playoffs. In the League Stage we have all but qualified winning all of our games without conceding a goa. This is enough to get us into the next round I hope. In the League we have had a little bit of a hit and miss time. We have lost four games since the start of the season all but one of them have been frustrating results as we had played better than the team that beat us. Except for the result against Juventus they smashed us badly. I dont know why it happened as I had not changed anything at all.

AS Roma  - November / December / January - 2022/23

 

First up the Euro Cup was amazing as we beat the group and went through with ease. We did loose a game that I played a lot of the kids in. We are into the next round where we face a Croat side that I think we should get past easily. The League continues to be a frustration we seem to play well but struggle at the same time. Draws against Torino and Palermo are really daft. We have won a lot of games as well conceding very few goals in the process. At the end of the period we lost two on the bounce and I dont know why this team can be frustrating. 

 

These guys all left for a decent amount of cash. None of these are players who I would say are first team players these are guys that were on high wages that we needed to get off the bill. The one loan is a lad who I think has a chance to be good but needs more game time. 

 

Diego Leong - a very decent midfielder who becomes a squad player here. He is very good and will get plenty of game time. 

Paolo De Bortoli - a great young striker who I think will be very good

AS Roma  - February / March - 2022/23

 

We are having a little bit of a better time in the League now. Two wins to start including a massive win over Juventus who are running away with the League. We drew and lost the next couple against some decent sides. We remained unbeaten for the rest of the period which left us 3rd in the league its not exactly where we want to be Juventus are running away with the League and we are nowhere to be seen. We are drawing far too many games that seems to be the issue. In Europe we are doing well and with some good results find ourselves in the quarter final.

AS Roma  - End of Season - 2022/23

 

 

I was gutted to go out to Augsburg in the Euro Cup especially in two very close games we ended up going out on pens which is gutting. In the League we did well enough and made it to the end of the season in 3rd spot which is enough to put us into the Champions League. I was hoping for a little more but in the end it will do. We lost the Italian Cup to a rampant Juventus we have some work to catch up with them. 

 

Stars of the Season

 

Jeremy Toljan - a super player who was amazing for us he was solid defensively but great going forward to. 

Ibrahim Keles - signed him this year and he proved to be as good as I had hoped he would be.

Neal Maupay - what a player he is fantastic. He has scored for fun for us. 

 

 

A few changes have been made but the closest person is still 1000 points away from Fergie. I am a million miles away from it. 

 

Next Season

 

I have made a few signings to come in the summer. For me the issue this year was going forward so I am tempted to spend big on a striker. I think another good striker would make all the difference for us
