Pressing instructions

I don't know if this has been suggested before (apologies if so), but I feel that the "out of possession", "in transition" and "in position" instructions are a bit reductive. For example, sometimes a team will have an intermittent high press, when the opportunity arises. But there are many ways to execute that. For example, sometimes the back line sits back, which opens up the whole pitch if the other teams plays out of the press. The better way is for the defence line to press up. It should be obvious that the defence line should push up but this isn't nearly the case at all times, for example in the Copenhagen - Sevilla Champions League match the other day Copenhagen did this again and again, leaving so much space open.
