Are there Any situations to play high press + fewer pressing triggers?

Recommended Posts

I understand when to use pretty much any other combination of pressing triggers + type of press. Although I can't see any reason to use High press + fewer pressing triggers. Same can be said for any defensive line lower than higher + High press.

Normally I tend to leave the options on the same level (eg. Low block + fewer pressing triggers) although I can see the reasoning behind using a low block + more pressing triggers if you're happy to sit back but also pounce on any sloppy passes / first touches.
