A very good start in the league, with two wins! It was against two of the lowest rated teams in the league, but it is still six points.

We started the month great with two wins, but after that our form has been poor.

A very good month! Nine points ahead of the releagtion zone, and just six points behind the league leaders. That is way better than what I was expecting at the start of the season.

Rosenborg has absolutely smashed the former record for the most paid for a player in the Norwegian leagues! The record was 8.25m!

This is the kind of players we have to produce to keep up with the bigger teams in Norway

A very good month as we take four points out of nine against the three best teams in the league. I did not expect us to so well! Three games to go in our debut season.

I am over the moon, it has been a surprising season!

Really bad start to the last month of the season. Beaten 3-6 by a team that was already relegated is not good at all. We also relegated Oppsal in the 5-2 win over them.

Other than that I am really happy with our first season in the third tier of Norwegian football. We were relegation favourites, but ended up bang smack in the middle of the table. Once the new players we got this season grows a bit more, we could finish even higher. Looking forward to next season!

Youth Intake Preview

I if could pick whatever position I wanted, a RB would be my first choice, that is our weakest position at the moment.

 

Not all positions rated A. I am actually really happy with the "worst" positions this youth intake is in the middle of the field, as that is our strongest position.

I said in the youth preview post that I really wanted a new right back. We did get a new player there, but he will not go straight in to the starting XI. But I think we might have a new striker!

There are three Professional players and one Driven this youth intake, that is great!

Pre-Season 2035

Decent pre season. The two games we lost was a bit annoying. Eidsvold Turn play at the same level as us, but Fjellhamar is fifth tier club...

Most of my time this pre season was used at pissing off the players. Three players have had offers come in for them by top Norwegian clubs, and I refused all transfer offers. Of course they get pissed off. Oh well, they won't go anywhere for at least two seasons!

 

Could have been worse.

 

We have a lot of 5* PA players. Not many will make it.

Not a great month in the league by any means, and we are only two points above the relegation zone. All the games has been close however, and could have either way. I'll be honest, the main problem at the moment is the striker position, as we do not score enough goals.

Knocked out once again by a team in the Eliteserien. But at least it was close this time! "Close" might be a slight exaggeration, but it end we lost only 1-2.

We are very, very inconsistent! We had a great game against Hønefoss at the start of the month, then we lost three games in a row. But at least we followed it up with an absolute trashing of Sola:

 

The league is so close, we entered this round in the 12th position!

This month we faced three out of the four second teams in the league. We should have beaten Kristiansund 2, other than that I am happy.

The first big sale.

The board accepted this bid without me having any say in it. 200k is a lot for him, and we are deep in the red, so I see why they did it. We have loaned him back to the end of the season, and that is at least something.

A perfect month! That is something we havent been able to do for a long time! Even though we are third, we have a gap of 10 points both to the relegation zone and the promotion play-off.

We finish our second season in the third tier in sixth, and I am really happy with that! Now that we lost our LB, I really hope that is what get in the next youth intake.

In the youth intake preview, I said I wanted a striker and a new LB. We did get a good player though, but he will not be a starter, and certainly not as a back. (YP14M) actually looks decent, so I am pretty happy with this intake!

Pre-Season 2036

A lot of goals this pre-season! The only defeat was against a team from the top league in Sweden, Örebro SK.

 

More second teams coming up. That is something that I know will be a problem later in the save. In FM22, teams finishing 10th and 11th could get an automatic promotion, as the second teams filled up the league. And they can't get promoted. Our main goal this season is to survive!

I am very happy with the Åsane game, as they were up 2-0 after 15 minutes! We should have beaten Bærum as well, as we were the better team, and they scored with thier only shot on goal. The Molde 2 game was total BS...

A very good month! The only defeat was against Alta, and they were league leaderes at the time.

June 2036

We start the month with a defeat to Moss, a team that was 12th when we faced them. Then we followed uo with a win against Viking 2, and we are still the only team that has beaten them. Right now we're actually promoted, but that will most likely change!

This year we actually got to the fourth round for the first time! There we faced an Eliteserien team, and that was the end.

So close to a perfect month! Bærum ruined it with a goal in the 88th minute. We are still top, but the league is so close.

We have a month long break in the middle of the summer, and that is when the transfer window opens as well. We've had offers coming in left and right for some of the players at the club. I have rejected all of them, and of course pissing off every single one of the players in the process...

 

Øyvind Esse Madsen Holm(YP12g)

 

Hamza Sandøy Nærum (YP12a) is the only player wanted by a team from another country.

 

Yngve Nilsen (YP12b) is the best player at the club. And it shows, as 80% of Eliteserien teams want him.

A perfect month, but we are still only two points ahead of Alta!

Two days after the game against Sola the transfer window closes, and I really hope we can keep a hold of all the players. Sola is doomed by the way, I have never seen someone with a season this bad! Kjelsås is not that much better, and they are the team we face next.

We FM'd Alta! No way was this was a 6-0 game!

 

With four games to go we have a 11 point gap down to the 3rd place. We can't screw this up, that I am sure of!

Viking 2 is five points behind us, but that does not matter, as they can't go up anyway. We are facing them next, and that will be a hard game. After that we have Raufoss, Lillestrøm 2 and Sarpsborg 2.

The last game of the season, and with us being safe at the top of the table, I wanted give two our most capped players their last farewell. And also giving a few of the young players a chance to shine!

This was the squad for the final game.

 

Ola Pedersen (YP08a) has been our captain for many years now, and he finishes his time with Try IL with a goal and an assist! He is also an "Icon" at the club.

 

The other player to leave us is Miguel Estemo Gaylon (YP07c). He is currently the oldest player at the club at 23 years old . He also got an assist in this game!

A lot of appearances off the bench for the last three seasons.

What an incredible season! I waited for the entire year for our form to drop, but it never happened and we finish the league as champions, four points in front of Viking 2! We managed in only the third season at this level.

Next year will by far be our toughest season yet, and we will have to be at our absolute best if we want to survive. It will be a miracle to be honest.

We scored by far the most goals in the league. At the other end of the table, Sola actually managed to win a game in the end!

 

 

Player of the Season

Eirik Løkken (YP14a) has been amazing this season! I started to train him as a striker right when he came through the youth intake, but later on I started to train him a DLP, and he has been amazing, in both of the positions really. Not only that, but his growth over this season has been immense! He started the year at 2.5* CA! Thank god I have him tied down to a 3+3 contract. (He got it after this screenshot).

Youth Intake 2037

Yet another great youth intake! The pick of the bunch this time around has to be Per Christian Monstad (YP15a), he looks great already, and is the left-back I wanted! I have just re-signed John Ulrik Markovski (YP10a), so he needs to be trained in another position.

Other than that we get a good talent at the GK position, and perhaps a new striker!

I really liked Luxembourg, but the suspension rules screwed me over I am usually very lucky in terms of youth intakes, even in the saves I am playing "normally" (not youth only), I tend to get players that ends up in a top club.
