Recruitment Focus - Idiots Guide

Is there an idiots guide on how to scout regions / leagues? Im doing it through the recruitment focus but i always get either 1 or 2 poor players back or nothing at all. Im Newcastle, so the scouting team is pretty good.

This would be good. By clicking on my scout in staff screen, and then assignments, I can create scouting the old fashioned way… except it deletes all criteria added so is pointless. The image below had parameters to find players under age of 20.
 

Trying to find players has become much more laborious.

Go to Staff

Open the profile of your Chief Scout

Click on scout assignments

Start new assignment

You can select Scouting Range, Nation, Region on the right side (screenshot)

Except as I described above, the game seems to ignore the parameters you set (age, potential etc)

Ahhhh really sorry. Perhaps i should have mentioned im on Console version. Its so bad to scout on there.
