USA starts making sense! 6 level pyramid that you are going to love

Recommended Posts

Okay here we go.

We have close to 300 clubs, a 6 levels pyramid and 7 cups, guys!
The main idea is that now you are getting paid for results. I promise you, this will finally make sense!
You get paid for winning, you get paid for ending up higher at the end of the season. You get paid for doing the right thing (meaning winning a lot).

The structure:
I. 22 clubs, 3 relegated. High $$$ fees for top places at the end of the season. Plenty of foreigners allowed.

II. 22 clubs, 3 promoted, 3 relegated. Nice $$$ fees for top places at the end of the season.

III. 22 clubs, 3 promoted, 4 relegated. Decent $$$ fees for top places at the end of the season.

IV. Divided into East and West. 2 promoted from each league, and 4 teams are relegated from each league.

V. Divided into four regions. Mostly amateur clubs filled with the guys from your high school you thought will be playing for at least LA Galaxy one day.

VI. Divided into four regions, basically secondary leagues for level V.

VII. Lower league is created but meant to be NOT played.

Cups:
The main point of performing in cups is that you are finally getting paid for winning there. Every. Single. Time. You are getting plenty of cups playtime.

Discipline rules:
4,7,11,14, yellow = 1 missed game
every red card is a missed game

All clubs have stadiums
Leagues for reserve teams and youth.
4 loaned players allowed
Standard transfer windows one in Summer and another short in January. No more weird MLS transfer rules, salary caps, save me from that nonsense!

PS to make things clear, clubs are not making tons from sponsors now, they are not getting some weird MLS money, none of that nonsense. Their main revenue streams are now - tickets, tv broadcasts for high leagues, fees for winning in every game, and the winning fees at the end of the season. And also playing in cups.

The total amount of money distributed among 300 clubs now is actually less by 20% compared to what MLS owners are spending on their clubs in real life (let's talk about monopoly and lack of competition, shall we!). You can also clearly see how this structure is benefiting the USA National team in the long run with more young players able to reach their full potential.

Crashes:
Run it for over 30 seasons and didnt experience any crasher. US national team did pretty good 20 years into this.
