GillsMan
X is a score draw. So, 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, etc.
A.D
that's just silly, a score draw is still a draw, should just be D
GillsMan
that's just silly, a score draw is still a draw, should just be D I suppose, but that's the way it's always been.

matt_132
its stupid imo, because why do you care when you look at form, whethere it was a 0-0 or a 1-1?
GillsMan
Just so we're all clear - using an X to denote a score draw isn't an SI thing per se, it's used across football in form tables (not all form tables use it, but whenever they show a score draw, they depict it with an X. mije1983
I may be totally wrong here but wasn't it first used for the pools?

Arsenal_Fan_1986
You say whats the point, there maybe none but the way I see it is... LLDDD <--- Poor form and are failing to score. LLXXX<--- also poor form but not struggling to score. It's just a bit more info and IRL would help with betting And if its used IRL why not use it in FM? Wakers
Didn't I just answer this question a few days ago?
lechefjoe
what will they think of next ? a score win and a score loss ? I needed the answer to that question too, although score draw and no score draw helps, lets me know if they're scoring or not. Although you're comment there seems to be a bit misguided, to win or lose a game, you do have to score a goal, so adding symbols for a score win would be pretty pointless.... I think he means if you lose 2-1 rather than 2-0, and if you win 2-1 rather than 2-0. Ridiculous really, but I'm sure that's what he meant.
