Shhh jinx ffs

Not at all. I don't know the stats, but I'm going to guess that not many teams win shootouts when they miss their first two and the opposition scores both of theirs. 2-0 when you've only got three left is hard to recover

What a bizarre tournament Spain have had - walloping someone 7-0, drawing with an iffy Germany, losing to Japan then can't score a penalty in a shootout

They walloped one of the worst sides I've ever seen at a WC. Joke side.

How they picked up a point, never mind 3, I'll never know. Let alone how they managed to be going through for a few minutes.

Did Spain not want him (curious if so), or did he choose Morocco?

Played for Morocco's youth teams plus he said something about feeling more at home playing for them.

Would have been Spain's best fullback as well if he had chosen them.

He played for Morocco youths his whole life and was capped at 17. I don't think he ever considered Spain himself.

Kind of ridiculous how two of the best full-backs in the world were let go by Real for peanuts.

Both Hakimi and Theo spent their entire youth there, then were deemed surplus to requirements.

Wasn't Theo from Atletico?
