Still, it is a very good database (I couldn’t have unlocked all these leagues and made them playable myself), and I’m enjoying the save immensely… so will continue with it and simply not focus on managerial salaries. You probally started the save when all Level 10 clubs was amateur, It has been updated since then and all Level 10 clubs wer made semi-pro as it made it too easy to build a team from Level 10 that were good enough to play at national leagues.

Stuniverse
Monday 27th May 2024 I met with the Belper Town Chairperson I met with the Belper Town Chairperson Jason Leahy today and we had a good chat. Mr Leahy is a local businessman and he hasn't owned the football club very long, just under a year in fact, as he purchashed Belper Town from the previous owner in June last year. After two seasons playing at Tier 7 in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, Mr Leahy wants Belper Town to bounce straight back with automatic promotion from Tier 8 this season. Mr Leahy also informed me that Ian Waters, The Nailers Supporter Spokesperson, also expects Belper Town to gain automatic promotion from Tier 8 this season. So no pressure there then. At least, it looks like I was right that Belper Town are in a better financial position than Staveley Miners Welfare and can offer me larger budgets. 1 hour ago, Stuniverse said: Monday 27th May 2024 Belper Town - Club Finances -- Of course, it wouldn't be me unless I made some requests of the Board. Stuniverse
Monday 27th May 2024 Assistant Manager - initial thoughts Well the Advert for an Assistant Manager to, well, assist me at Belper Town has gone out. Whilst I'm waiting for applications to come in, I've had some thoughts... -- Pat Lindley, Player / Assistant Manager at Staveley Miners Welfare Whilst I didn't ask Pat if he wanted to come with me to Belper Town, I had previously asked him about joining me at Shepshed Dynamo and Mickleover but, both times, he said he wanted to stay at Staveley Miners Welfare. Pat and I worked well together, I thought, with Pat playing Bad Cop to my Good Cop, but I'm not convinced he'd want to leave Staveley Miners Welfare and come to Belper Town. I'm not that sure I want to ask him either. -- Leigh Kelly, unemployed (former Belper Town Assistant Manager, Caretaker / Interim Manager) Leigh Kelly was Assistant Manager to the previous Belper Town manager Liam McDonald. When Liam was sacked in December last year, Leigh was named caretaker manager and when I was offered the job and agreed to join at the end of the season, Leigh was named interim manager. When I arrived at the Raygar Stadium today, I was surprised to hear that Leigh had left the club. I wonder if Leigh would be interested in a return to Belper Town as my assistant manager? -- Jon Froggatt, U18s Manager at Cheadle Town. Jon Froggatt is a Belper Town icon having made 123 appearances for The Nailers. Jon also had spells as Belper Town player / assistant manager and player / manager. [And Jon Froggatt is a player I saw play for Belper Town quite a few times in real-life]. I wonder if Jon would have any interest in a return to the Raygar Stadium as my Assistant Manager. Stuniverse
Monday 27th April 2024 Belper Town First-Team Squad The Belper Town first-team squad contains 19 players of which five are in on loan. Their collective Average Ratings in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, in a team that finished 13 points adrift of second bottom, and 18 points off safety, doesn't inspire any confidence that this squad can bounce straight back. Ignoring for the time being the five players who are on loan, and looking at round pegs in round holes, it's clear we have some gaps in the team that need filling as a priority. Stuniverse
Monday 27th May 2024 Going back to raid Staveley Miners Welfare A lot of my former Staveley Miners Welfare players are already receiving offers from other clubs so I decided to act quickly and offer contracts to the players who did well for me last season and who, I think, have the ability to perform just as well for Belper Town in Tier 8. Unfortunately, we couldn't agree personal terms with any of the strikers who performed so well for me at Staveley Miners Welfare last season, scoring goals for fun, as they all held out for more money than we could afford. I will continue to monitor D'Andre Wainwright, Mitchell George and Connor Heath as I'd love to work with them again. In the meantime, we'll keep our eye on Zack Clarke and, when his loan at Staveley is up, we'll see if Chester manager Brad Bell will let me loan him again. We've also offered a contract to Declan Bacon, who was the top goal scorer in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division last season, scoring even more than D'Andre Wainwright. Somehow, though, that story has broke in the press and I suspect it's Declan's agent who leaked it. All of these offers would see us comfortably within our wage budget for the season. Sadly, there were other former players we were unable to agree terms with - Ben Voase (GK), Filozofe Mabete (DC) and Lewis Farmer (MR). They all wanted too much money. We also didn't get anywhere with Charlie Rutt (DC), Ben Midgley (MC) and Aaron Atkinson (MC) for the more honourable reason that they'd only just left Staveley Miners Welfare to join their current clubs. I will continue to monitor them in case there's an opportunity to sign them in the future. Edited February 19, 2023 by Stuniverse

Stuniverse
Thursday 30th May 2024 The Nailers snap-up Makwedza Bolton Makwedza was my main right-footed centre-back in my first season at Staveley Miners Welfare when we won the Northern Counties East League Division 1 (Tier 9) title. I was looking forward to Bolton being a mainstay at the heart of Staveley's defence last season, although we did have more competition for places in central defence, but he left to join Tadcaster Albion in January. I like Bolton as a player, and a person, a lot and I believe he can do a job for Belper Town and improve a lot. Currently Bolton's our only right-footed centre-back. We do have two left-footed centre-backs at the club. I'm not sure yet whether they are more suited to a centre-back or left-back role, but I doubt either of them will start at left-back as I already have new signing Sam Sharrock-Peplow pencilled in as my starting left-back. Stuniverse
Friday 31st May 2024 Patterson joins Belper Town Kane Patterson was my starting right-back during my two seasons at Staveley Miners Welfare. Kane stepped up after our promotion to Tier 9 and I believe he can step up again here at Belper Town in Tier 8. Kane will have some competition for the right-back shirt so he'll need to hit the ground running. Bottom line, I trust Kane. I may have created a problem for myself with both the Belper Town captain and vice-captain capable of playing right-back, but I'll worry about that in July during pre-season. For now, I'm delighted to have Kane here at Belper Town.
Stuniverse
Friday 31st May 2024 Moloney snubs Belper Town We offered Riley Moloney £170.00 a week whereas Staveley Miners Welfare offered £200.00. I would've liked Riley here at Belper Town to push Sam Sharrock-Peplow and keep him on his toes, as Riley did at Staveley, but I can't blame him for staying. At least Riley got a pay rise out of it and he might get more playing time now we've signed Sam. Edited February 19, 2023 by Stuniverse
Stuniverse
Sunday 2nd June 2024 Belper sign Bacon I'm glad we've been able to sign the Northern Counties East League Premier Division's top goal scorer and I've got my fingers crossed it works out. I'll be honest, we've taken a bit of a risk signing Declan Bacon. Stuniverse
Sunday 2nd June 2024 Belper Town finalise Rutt signing Charlie Rutt was outstanding in my first season at Staveley Miners Welfare when we won the Northern Counties East League Division 1 title. I was very impressed with the way Charlie stepped-up to hold onto his shirt in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division last season and was disappointed when he left to join Leek Town on deadline day. But I'm not one to hold a grudge, Charlie is a terrific left-footed centre-back and I'm thrilled he's agreed to join us at Belper Town.
