mikcheck
Hi, When you have this option, so the player wears protective equipment (arm injury for example), do you choose it over a specialist? Sardaukar
Well, just bought FM 2023 couple of days ago, so not familiar with that option. But in FM 2022 I always leave all injuries to specialist.

Speedyol
I am on FM20 and I have had the option for the player to play for the whole duration of the injury. It has been a hand injury each time. They are injured for a bit longer and doesnt recover as fast between matches but they can play once a week or 3 matches per month at least. I think its very useful and better than sending them to a specialist. They become orange injured for the whole duration of the injury.
FD13
If it is a key player, for sure I will play him. But if is a role player and it is not a part of the season with many games, maybe is better just not play him.
Sardaukar
Problem is, you might easily lose the key player for half of season...so it's big risk.
