Dev'o
The best form of offence is defence In Australia, the current record holder of the most goals in Australian domestic competition is Damian Mori who most famously played for Perth Glory and Adelaide City Force and for some twenty-odd years was also the National Teams top scorer. With 240 goals, Mori holds the record for the most goals in the top flight, but also for the most goals in a season - 31. What a lot of people don't know is that Mori started off in a defensive role before moving into the forward line. And thus the challenge - a youth only challenge in Australia, aiming to convert a DC into one of Australia's best strikers. The Rules - Only play one striker, a DC that I am converting to a ST - Any players over 23 must be sent to youth squad and set to "sell or release" by the TD. - Players can be scouted and bought but must be no older than 18 years of age. Short Term Challenges✅- Get a defender to score 10 goals in a season (Completed 31/3/23 - v Macarthur - Manolo Veneracion) ✅ - Make the playoffs with a converted defender to striker. (Completed 24/4/23 - v Adelaide United - Manolo Veneracion)Mid Term Challenges - Get a defender to score 20 goals in a season. - Earn a converted defender an NT callup. - Win the league with a converted defender to striker. Long Term Challenges - Get a defender to score 50 career goals. - Get a defender to score 100 career goals. - Get a defender to score 150 career goals. - Get a defender to score 200 career goals. - Get a converted defender to become the top goalscorer for Australia. - Win the ACL with a converted defender to striker. I'll probably start with one of KNAP's 4-2-3-1 formations, and add future challenges as I go along! Edited December 25, 2022 by Dev'o

Dev'o
Our current batch of defenders Antonee Burke-Gilroy is 24 years of age, and despite the fact hehas th ebest finishing and a bit of flair, I kinda want to start with one of the younger players. Both Veneracion and Coyne are 18 years of age, which gives them plenty of time to convert to a striking role. Plus their finishing isn't that bad. Those two will be the focal points for us as we look to develop in our first year.
Dev'o
September 2022 Wow, this tactic is a bit overpowered, but then again, the competition wasn't exactly top range. Veneracion however scored 5 goals in four games, so I'm not really complaining. Our first mach is away to Western Sydney, here's hping we can get a few points on the board in October. Dev'o
October 2022 Okay, somewhat of a mixed bag this month. We got off to a loss and a draw before finally getting it together with a 3-2 win, with Veneracion scoring his first two career goals! Burke-Gilroy did sneak a goal in against Adelaide United, so we're dong alright, currently 5th on the table.
Dev'o
November 2022 A short month but a bit of a mixed bag due to the World Cup. In other news, the Aussies won the U-19 Asian Cup! But still need to get some more goals out of Veneracion otherwise I may have to switch him up with Aidan Coyne.
Dev'o
December 2022 An injury against Western United saw Veneracion sidelined for a couple of weeks, with Aidan Coyne coming in and scoring against Macarthur FC. A big home win just before Xmas against the Phoenix sees us sitting in a solid eighth position, meaning a top six position is not out of reach. Dev'o
January 2023 Another close month, and we're still in a healthy 8th spot. Veneracion got another goal - which brings his tally to four for the season however he is taking his time adjusting to the new position. Dev'o
February 2023 Three wins on the trot including a huge win against Melbourne City. Veneracion scored the decisive goal in the win against the Jets which delighted the home fans and we're now firmly entrenched in the top six. With just eight games to go, we could possibly make the finals at the first attempt - knocking off one of my first challenges! Veneracion also has five goals to his name so far this season. Dev'o
Our first convert! It's official, he's actually a striker out right based on this training. Aidan Coyne is still only a DC though.
Dev'o
March 2023 March is for Manolo! Veneracion, no sooner had he fully converted to a striking role, finally found his shooting boots, and even scored his debut hat-trick against Macarthur in front of his home fans! Unbelievable stuff! With just four games to go, we look likely to snare a home final at the very least, but if we can cheekily finish in the top two, we get a bye through to the semi-finals of the final series. Crazy! Dev'o
April 2023 Well, that's a way to end the season! We finish just one goal away from a home final with Manolo Veneracion's 14th and 15th goal coming in the final match in a 2-1 victory. A fifth placed finish now sees us face up against Western United away from home instead of a home final.
Dev'o
May 2023 Well that was an interesting finals series. We leave it late against Western United but capitulated against Melbourne Victory. All in all though, a solid season - something we can build on and hopefully have Veneracion leading from the front.
