That really seems a lot of money for our budget (in the grand scheme of PL budgets it really is not), but I guess playing in a 20k+ stadium is fundamental for establishing ourselves as a top division club in England. It will take around 12 months to complete, so I guess for the entire next season we will be ground-sharing at our neighbors Barnsley.  Exciting times ahead.

Just when I was counting the money and establishing contacts for the players I wanna buy in the summer - I get this message about the takeover and a transfer embargo. I don't want some rich money pumping new owner, just want this to be finished as soon and smoothly as possible so I can focus on the preparation for the new season.

What happened in the game world this season:
Premier League - Liverpool won it, Man Utd 2nd, Spurs 3rd and Man City 4th.
Championship - Newcastle won it, Sheffield promoted 2nd and Blackburn won the playoffs.
FA Cup - Chelsea won 3-0 against Burnley.
League Cup - Arsenal won 2-1 against Manchester City.
Champions League - Manchester City won 2-1 against Atletico Madrid.
Europa League - Napoli won 2-0 against Valencia.
Conference League - Monaco won 3-0 against Dinamo Zagreb.

This is how we are lined up for the new season. Notable ins are the extension of loans for Charlie Cresswell and Regan Slater, Jack Clarke came on a free from Spurs, while the big money were spent of Jacob Greaves (10M from Hull), Andy Rinomhota (9.5M from Reading), Ben Wiles (9.25M from Rotherham) and Alfie McCalmont (6.25M from Leeds). Some other players arrived for fewer money, while in the other way around a lot of players left on loans and free transfers. We are now 100% using Yorkshire players, so I guess that's another milestone achieved.

Despite us not being a recently promoted team anymore we are still predicted to finish dead-last in the table. Cant say I am to fussed about this, I just want to focus on integrating the newly arrived players in the squad and I think we have good chances of staying up.

Some nice results in the pre-season friendlies but really inconclusive as we did not met opponents of Premier League caliber. Still nice to integrate the new players in, and we are going into the season with full confidence in our ability to safely avoid relegation.

We have finished the upgrade of the training facilities, and at the moment we are having: Good corporate facilities, Superb training facilities (guess that was 10M well spent then), Good youth facilities, Adequate academy coaching and Average youth recruitment.

We continue our good run of results in September also, as we manage to sneak two away draws (Sheffield United and Southampton), before winning at home to Blackburn. We then progressed another round in the League cup, before losing the last PL game to Wolves. We are sitting 10th after seven game weeks and I am pretty satisfied with the way the season begun.
