Downloaded /Steam Workshop Shortlists

Hi All,

Just bought a new laptop with windows 11 and have tried adding downloaded shortlist files to the shortlist folder and also subscribing via the steam workshop but when I try to load a shortlist there is no file in there or nothing to load from the workshop. Any help would be appreciated 👍🏼

I've had endless nightmares trying to FIND the stuff I've downloaded from Steam Workshop. It goes in places you never knew existed.

For me, they end up in folders with long numbers here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content

Had no problems with other versions just been a case of either download the file and drag it into shortlists then import or load it when downloaded from steam workshop but just nothing there either way when I go into the file path 😤. Did you manage to access in game what you wanted to from steam using that file path ? Cheers for reply 👍🏼

I tended to try to download the same file a dozen times thinking it wasn't downloading before finding them all piled up. Occasionally one would appear directly in the right folder for using in my save, but most of the time I'd have to find them and move them to the right folder.

Went in through the file path in game and in content file was just a file which was a 7 digit number then went in through file explorer there was the same numbered file with 3 other numbered files inside that which I did download 3 shortlists from the workshop but still can't access them 🤦‍♂️

As I don't like explaining step by step how to change data location - I always say to create separate folder for fm files and in fm lanuch options add 

--user_data_location="E:\Football Manager 2020"

Of course this is my location but you change it to whatever you've created (and of course create editor data and other folders inside) and all files from workshop should/will automatically save over there. 

The game likes to create new folder in my documents and suddenly graphics, skins and editor data can disappear.
