Punch
2025-2026 Season Review - Stats Goalkeepers Sejdini was brilliant, it's going to take a long while before we have anyone good enough to unseat him as the number 1 I think. Jones was solid as back up, but only played when Sejdini was on international duty. Defenders Some brilliant numbers from our defensive unit this season, they were just so improved. We are going to have to ask a lot of them again next season when we step up in class. Midfielders Salmon and Weir put together a brilliant partnership in the centre, with Abrahams providing the back up. As with the defenders, we will again need to ask a lot of them next season, as we don't have a lot of strong options in this position. Forwards Some of the numbers here a insane. Docherty 36 goals, 11 assists, Kirkpatrick 23 goals, 9 assists, Easter 22 assists. Cotterill 15 goals, 11 assists. The forward unit was massively improved this season, allowing us to outscore most opponents, sided with the strong defense, we were able to lead from start to finish.

Punch
2025-2026 Season Review - Attributes Goalkeepers Good growth numbers here, especially from our number 1. Defenders A bit of a mixed bag for the defenders. The National Leagues will be a whole new ball game for these kids. Midfielders Some good improvement in this area, which was much needed. Same again, this will be a new ball game for these kids. Forwards Based on attribute scores alone, our best forward, Docherty, only just barely rates in the top 8. Another mixed bag in this area, and we may not find it so free scoring next season. Best Squad A solid looking squad, but a big test coming up. We continue to show overall improvement, and the age average finally went up. Overall, plenty to like in the squad, but it's going to be an enormous test with the step up in class next season.
Punch
JUN 2026 - Off season things Incredibly Oldham continue their massive fall from grace, landing in tier 6 this season. The Board don't have any real expectations for this season. We kick off our National League South season at home to Havant & W. The Bookies have placed us so far off the scale, we might as well be on another planet. Favourites to be relegated. The finances are still pretty bleak, although we have some good early season ticket sales to thank for rescuing the damage somewhat. We've gone backwards every year, but somehow made enough profit last season to get a tax bill We add a new sponsor to help cover some costs, although it's very minor. We only have two sponsors total. We get paid TV Rights this season. while it's not worth much, every little helps. Two things to note financially. Others: they are killing us. I am thinking this is where the game is putting our travel expenses for covering visiting teams. Last season we spent £60k on other, but only £24k on travel costs. It's a massive expense that takes a big chunk of our budget. Under 21s team: because of the state of the finances, I have opted against asking for an under21s team at this stage, simply because the added expense of coaches and travel costs would probably cripple us at the moment. I really want another team for the players too old for 18's, but not yet ready for first team. This might be something to work towards in the next season or two. I've given us some tough friendlies as I really want to test these kids before the season starts.

The formula was developed by @shaunvamos, given to me by @Jtomsett11, and I have tinkered and adjusted to suit the tactics I use, and the positions/positions trained that I use, and want to track. I only track four trained positions: Goalkeeper (Sweeper - Defend) Defenders (Libero - Attack) Midfielders (Box to box - Support) Forwards (Complete Forward - Attack) If you want to track different positions, you just need to adjust the formulas to suit each position. Punch
JUL 2026 - Pre-season things A solid pre-season, and while it was more about the minutes than the results, the results were pretty impressive as well. Particularly pleasing results against Truro, from our division, and Weymouth, from the division above us. Always a unique little milestone for the club when you get to start issuing players shirt numbers. A massive month financially as the season ticket holders wipe out our debt. Over 800 already sold, which is a massive increase on the 612 we sold last season. Massive support for a club at this level...or there is nothing else to do on the island Kick the tires and light the fires...we are about to become a National League club.
Punch
AUG 2026 - Match Day 1 - Havant & Waterlooville FC Match Report Spoiler A brilliant crowd in at Footes Lane as we kick off the season in impressive style. A brace to Docherty was a highlight, but our defence was a little shaky. A great start, but plenty of improvement to be made. Table Spoiler A positive start to the season, but a long way to go. Up next...we renew acquaintances with Hayes & Yeading as we head away from the island.
Punch
AUG 2026 - Match Day 2 - At Hayes & Yeading United Beaconsfield Road - Hayes Spoiler Match Report Spoiler A big return to earth as we struggle against United. Two goals in four minutes gave them a lead we couldn't run down, with just a consolation goal late in the second half. This made the loss a bit worse as we lose Cotterill for a month. Table Spoiler The loss drops us back towards the middle of the pack. Up next...back to the island as we host 17th place Dulwich Hamlet.

I love the game, absolutely love it, but I don't really understand the tactics or the difference between what each position does, especially when you break it down to box-to-box or defensive or support. It's fine, maybe someday I'll understand it more, but for now I'm just enjoying what I do know!

Punch
AUG 2026 - Match Day 3 - Vs Dulwich Hamlet FC Match Report Spoiler A really tight battle at Footes Lane as we held The Hamlet to a draw in front of another non-play off League attendance record crowd. An early goal to the visitors was cancelled out by Captain Docherty in the shadows of half time. Chances were at a minimum for both sides, but neither could find a winner. Table Spoiler While the point moved us up to 9th, we are also only one win above last place. Up next...a big test early in the season as we travel to top of the table Maidstone. Punch
AUG 2026 - Match Day 4 - At Maidstone United FC Gallagher Stadium - Maidstone Spoiler Match Report Spoiler Our kids held their own against the highly fancied Stones. A soft penalty call was the only goal of the game, as our defenders scrambled their way to keep them out, but we couldn't take our chances. Table Spoiler The loss sees us fall into the bottom half of the table, still only one point out of the relegation zone. Up next...another tough match up as we host 8th place Concord. Punch
AUG 2026 - Match Day 5 - Vs Concord Rangers FC Match Report Spoiler A brilliant bounce back from the mid-week loss as we keep a clean sheet and take the three points over the Beach Boys. A brace from Docherty, who keeps leading from the front, helped us secure the win. Table Spoiler The win moves us up to 10th. Up next...a tough draw as we have just one days rest before traveling to meet Corinthian-Casuals.
Punch
AUG 2026 - Match Day 6 - At Corinthian Casuals FC Kingsmeadow - Kingston upon Thames Spoiler I think they have moved grounds, as I am pretty sure the middle pic is King George's Field, as opposed to Kingsmeadow. Match Report Spoiler A tired performance, and we didn't play well, but The Casuals were too strong for us. We probably done well to stay only one down for as long as we did, but a late goal sealed the points for the hosts. Table Spoiler We drop to 12th, 3 points clear of relegation still. I think that is going to be our goal this season, to stay out of the fight for the drop. Up next...We host 5th place Gloucester.
Punch
AUG 2026 A real mixed bag - two wins and a draw at home, three losses away. On that basis, our home form might play a big part in our performance this season, and we are going to need to learn how to win against teams on the road. We are a bit below the League average on most things, but the Analyst believes we are over-performing at this stage. We find ourselves in the mid table, but only one win above the relegation fight. Stats Goalkeepers Defenders Midfielders Forwards We break our season tickets record again, but despite that, we still make a big loss for the month. Four League games, and our FA Cup campaign kicks off, but I am guessing the Oxford game will be moved once the Cup draw happens.
Punch
SEP 2026 - Match Day 7 - Vs Gloucester City AFC Match Report Spoiler We battled away for the entire match against the heavily favoured Tigers outfit. They scored on half time, but we managed to prevent any further damage, before hitting back against the run of play, and we managed to hang on and secure a point. Table Spoiler Even though we collected a point, we drop to 15th, and are now only two points above the relegation zone. Up next...we travel to 17th place Chelmsford. Punch
SEP 2026 - FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw We kick off our FA Cup campaign hosting Mickleover in the 2nd Qualifying Round. We will be hoping to go on a run like last season where we made the 2nd Round. As expected, the Oxford game has been pushed back to accommodate. Punch
SEP 2026 - Match Day 8 - At Chelmsford City FC Melbourne Community Stadium - Chelmsford Spoiler Match Report Spoiler Four away games, four losses. After the carnage we created in attack last season, it seems we have forgotten how to play on the road. We got off to a bad start, giving up an early penalty, which was spectacularly saved by Sejdini, only to see his save deflect back into the path of the taker, who made no mistake with the second effort. We conceded again on the half hour, but seemed to settle into the game after that point. We were probably the better team in the second half, managing to pull one back, but we just couldn't find an equaliser. Table Spoiler We have now fallen to 19th, and sit just a single point above the relegation zone. Up next...our FA Cup campaign kicks off as we host Mickleover in the 2nd Qualifying Round. Punch
SEP 2026 - FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round - Vs Mickleover FC Match Report Spoiler A first half blitz set up a comfortable win as we cruised into the next round. Braces to Docherty and Tyrie, and a drought breaker from Kirkpatrick set the scene for a good day from our attack. 3rd Qualifying Round Draw Spoiler We host Worcester in the next round. Punch
SEP 2026 - Match Day 9 - Vs Oxford City FC Match Report Spoiler We worked hard in this one, and were rewarded with the three points. After leading at half time, we fell asleep a bit giving up an equaliser, before two quick goals after the hour gave us a solid win. Table Spoiler We shot up the table, but with a lot of clubs idle due to FA Cup replays, we are a game ahead of a few of those around us. Up next...we travel to 11th place Tonbridge. Punch
SEP 2026 - Match Day 10 - At Tonbridge Angels FC Longmead Stadium - Tonbridge Spoiler Match Report Spoiler A hard fought draw, but we finally played an away game without losing. An early Kirkpatrick goal was cancelled out in the second half, with neither side being able to find a winner. Table Spoiler We dropped a few places, but we are now 4 points clear of the relegation zone, giving us some breathing space. Up next...FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round action as we host Worcester.
Punch
SEP 2026 Just the one win in the League this month, but we did manage to secure our first away point of the season at Tonbridge. We also advanced in the FA Cup. Still a bit below the League average, but better than expected. The rest of the clubs played their 10th match, so we drop into 15th to end the month. We find ourselves 4 points clear of the relegation zone, Which might be our aim for this season. Stats Goalkeepers Defenders Midfielders Forwards A tiny profit this month on the back of a strong FA Cup crowd. We kick off the month with the FA Cup tie, before four League games, although I am sure that will change if we get through against Worcester.
Punch
OCT 2026 - FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round - Vs Worcester City FC Match Report Spoiler We gave City a thumping as the attack ran riot at Footes Lane. Three goals to the good by the 20 minute mark, Docherty completing his hat-trick as we run out with a convincing win, and a clean sheet. 4th Qualifying Round Draw Spoiler We head to Kings Lamgley for a shot at the 1sr Round proper. The extra game moves the Braintree game back three days, to add some extra congestion to the schedule. Up next...a really tough match as we host 2nd place Dover. Punch
OCT 2026 - Match Day 11 - Vs Dover Athletic FC Match Report Spoiler A hard fought draw as we take a possibly unexpected point off the 2nd place Whites, which also keeps our unbeaten home run going. We got the goal in the first half, before they nearly overpowered us late in the second, with some desperate defending keeping the scores locked. Table Spoiler A few teams on Cup replays enables us to climb a spot to 14th, we also gain a point over the relegation zone. Up next...we are off to Kings Langley for FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round action, as we shoot for a spot in the 1st Round proper.
Punch
OCT 2026 - FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round - At Kings Langley GC Gaywood Park - Kings Langley Spoiler Match Report Spoiler We book ourselves a spot in the 1st Round proper for the second year in a row. A tight first half, before we ran over the top of them in the second, Docherty continuing his good form with a brace. 1st Round Draw Spoiler A tough draw with National League Yeovil coming to Footes Lane. Up next...back to League action as we travel to 11th place Braintree.
Punch
OCT 2026 - Match Day 12 - At Braintree Town FC Cressing Road Stadium - Braintree Spoiler Match Report Spoiler We had to do some shuffling after a short turn around from the FA Cup game, but this result was really disappointing. The Iron put three shots on target, all in the first 30 minutes, they all went in...we stormed home in the second half with 8 on target, but just could not get the ball in the net. A card happy Ref made for a very stop-start affair, 10 yellows, no reds, which probably didn't help our flow. Table Spoiler Still 15th, but now only 2 points above the relegation zone. Up next...back to the island as we host 23rd place Hampton & Richmond.
Punch
OCT 2026 - Match Day 13 - Vs Hampton & Richmond Borough FC Match Report Spoiler After a first half that showed patches of our last match, where we created chances, but couldn't convert. We managed to pull it together in the second half though as we ran out three goal winners, and keeping a clean sheet, more importantly. Table Spoiler The win takes us to 14th spot, but also extends our lead over the relegation zone to 4 points. Up next...we travel to 19th place Welling, still searching for our first away win of the season.
Punch
OCT 2026 - Match Day 14 - At Welling United FC Park View Road - Welling Spoiler Match Report Spoiler Well! Well! Well! Our first away win for the season means we are also on our first winning streak...it's two games, but, it's something. One of the main ingredients has been patience. We have been a lot more selective in front of goal, and cut out the defensive errors. It's been against lower placed teams, but we had to start somewhere. Hopefully we can carry this form over to some of the bigger teams. Table Spoiler Back to back wins for the first time in the National South and we jump to 11th, and more importantly, build a 7 point buffer to the relegation zone. Up next...our good form goes to a tougher test as we host 5th place Bognor Regis.

Stats Goalkeepers Defenders Midfielders Forwards Linked with a job a Bradford, but make the Board happy when I shot the rumour down. Another small profit again this month, with the Cup games proving beneficial. A bit going on next month, Cup and Trophy, wrapped around 5 League games. I am guessing there will be some movement of this schedule before the month is out.

After a tight first half, the visitors started to fade in the second half, when we were able to take the chances we created and book ourselves a spot in the next round. 2nd Round Draw Spoiler The AI clearly has a sense of humour. Punch
NOV 2026 - Match Day 16 - At Wealdstone FC Grosvenor Vale - Ruislip Spoiler Match Report Spoiler Our newfound patience in front of goal continues to pay dividends, as we slow burned through the first half, taking a 1-0 lead right at the break. In the second half the slow burn turned into afterburners as we piled on three more goals, running away with the three points, and our second away win for the season. A little disappointed that we fell asleep and allowed a late goal, but happy with the win overall. Table Spoiler We've made it to the top 10, and put an 8 point gap on the relegation zone. We were snatching at our chances a little, and only put one shot on target, but we made it count to collect another away point. Table Spoiler After dropping to within 2 points of the drop zone, we've now gone 5 unbeaten, and now have a 9 point gap over the relegation zone. Punch
NOV 2026 - Match Day 18 - Vs Eastbourne Borough FC Match Report Spoiler A real tough fight against The Sports and we couldn't be separated. We took an early lead, before the visitors hit back, but there were few real chances for either side to claim victory, so a draw was a fair result. Three early goals and two more late ones lead us to a big win, and book us a spot in the next round. 3rd Round Draw Spoiler We host League rival Chelmsford in the next round. We really struggled to get anything going in attack, before conceding a late goal, after Sejdini had saved an early penalty to keep us in it. Table Spoiler Our first loss in 6 matches drops us to 12th place. We have a 6 point gap on the relegation zone. Up next...FA Cup 2nd Round action as we travel to Bradford City. Punch
NOV 2026 - FA Cup 2nd Round - At Bradford City AFC University of Bradford Stadium - Bradford Spoiler Match Report Spoiler A pretty decent shift against a League One team, although they didn't play a lot better than we did. Just the one late goal to decide this one, and we were unable to mount a serious challenge on their goal. The £75k for our share of the gate was a nice boost to the bank though. And so ends our FA Cup run in the 2nd Round, for the second straight season. An impressive performance for our little club to have made it so far though. Punch
NOV 2026 A monster month where we won just one of five League games, but we did draw three, accumulating points. We advanced in the FA Cup and Trophy, before exiting the Cup at Bradford. Our numbers are starting to catch up to the League average, making the Analyst happy. We finish the month in 12th place, 6 points ahead of the relegation zone. Stats Goalkeepers Defenders Midfielders Forwards Another month, another job rumour, this time linked with Lincoln. The Board happy again that I shot it down. The Board were so happy that they decided to offer me a job as well, for another year at least. A big month financially, boosted by the Cup gate receipts. There will be no outlandish spending this season, although I may hit the Board up for Youth upgrades. A bit more forgiving schedule next month, but some important games coming up. A double whammy as we concede late to give up a share of the points. Table Spoiler We drop a place to 13th, but we do gain a place over the relegation zone. Up next...a tough road trip as we travel to 2nd place Bath.

We managed to equalise in the second half, but it took a late penalty for the hosts to secure the points. Table Spoiler From 5 without a loss, to 5 without a win and we have fallen to 14th, still holding a 6 point gap to the relegation zone. Up next...we host 11th place Worthing. Punch
DEC 2026 - Youth Intake Preview The preview for the Class of 27 arrives, and while the initial look suggest an excellent intake... ...This view leaves a lot to be desired. Plenty of players in positions we use, but will be interesting to see the potential of the intake when it actually arrives. I have found FM23, much like FM21, the preview does not necessarily accurately represent what arrives.
