A massive moment for the club, as we lift our first Cup trophy, since we won back to back EFL Trophy's, as League Two and League One members back in 2034/35 and 2035/36. That's fantastic, @Punch Massive congratulations! Sounds like a right roller-coaster of emotions for you in that EFL Cup Final.
Punch
MAR 2043 - FA Cup 5th Round - At Luton Town We made hard work of it, but we are through after a tight win over the Hatters. After surviving the early onslaught from the hosts, we settled into our game plan, but despite creating chances, we were frustrated into snatching at them, and not putting them away. The second half carried on in pretty much the same fashion, and it took until 74 minutes before we finally broke through to take the lead. We managed to hang on for the remaining 15 minutes, booking our passage into the Quarter Final. Always good to keep the bank rolling along. We will host Charlton in the Quarter Final. We have a pretty solid record against them, especially in our last few meetings. Up Next We return to League action in what seems like the first time for ages, and we face a tough ask first up, traveling to 4th place Arsenal.

We had so many chances to put that game away, but Spurs just kept coming at us, I thought it wasn't going to be our day, and we were going to lose another Cup Final, but we hung on and got there in the end through the lottery of the shoot out.
Punch
MAR 2043 - Match Day 30 - At Arsenal It seems like weeks since we played a League game as our Cup games have taken up the last two weeks. It was a crazy start to this game as we were two goals down in the first six minutes, before we pulled one back on 11 minutes. The game took another twist when the Gunners had a player sent off before half time, and in first half injury time, we found an equaliser to head to the break all square. We dominated the second half but struggled to make our numerical advantage pay. On 78 minutes we finally took a chance and hit the lead, but we were not able to make it stick, as the hosts scored a late equaliser. We stay 10th, with our 5th unbeaten. Our League Cup win makes us the first team to qualify for European Football next season. Up Next Another tricky one as we host 12th place Everton.

Punch
MAR 2043 - Match Day 31 - Vs Everton A cracking result over the Toffees, even though it took us until the very end of the match to seal the three points. While we took the early lead, and dominated pretty much the entire match, we were unable to strike the killer blow as the visitors kept hanging in. A late goal in the shadows of full time finally broke their spirit though, and another in injury time soon followed to ice the cake with a valuable three points. We stay 10th, and while we have never really been considered relegation contenders, we are now mathematically safe from the drop. Up Next Back to Cup duty as we host Charlton in the FA Cup Quarter Final.

Punch
MAR 2043 - Youth Intake The class of 43 has arrived, and with the Preview promised very little to be excited about, it seems to have delivered about that too. While I have never thought much of the star system, there is not a lot to get excited about with this years intake. A few 3.5 star ratings, and a couple of 3 stars. The attribute scores don't leave a lot to be desired, and even the few that do have decent scores, will hit their ceilings pretty quickly. The Best of them Spoiler A striker with quality finishing and decent numbers, has the potential to make a rotation player, but may not be a superstar in waiting. A solid defender, again who could possibly make a rotation player. A left sided midfielder, who will be retrained as a defensive midfielder, another who has the possibility to be a part of the rotation. Plenty of room for improvement, but maybe not the determination to reach his potential. Time will tell with this one. This one is the opposite of the previous, where he has massive determination, but maybe not the potential. Again, will be interesting to see how this one turns out. We produce our first player from Brazil, and interestingly, not a single player from Guernsey this year. Not a lot to be optimistic about this season, and there are probably less than half of this intake that will get picked up. That alone will make it one of our worst intakes. Hopefully better to come.

Punch
21 hours ago, Stuniverse said: Overall, how have you found your Youth Intakes on this save, @Punch? Would you say you've generally had good, bad or indifferent ones? A complete mixed bag to be honest. We have had some amazing saves, full of really talented kids, and we have had others where we barely took anyone, and none of those we did ended up making it to the first team. We have also had bad overall intakes, that have produced one or two players who were brilliant. So not sure that answers your question but they really have been all over the place.
Punch
MAR 2043 - FA Cup Quarter Final - Vs Charlton Athletic A near perfect performance as the Addicks are cast aside in a completely dominant performance. Two goals either side of the break, along with an astonishing defensive performance, limiting the visitors to 3 shots on goal, none on target. An amazing performance to send us through to the Semi Final, keeping us in contention for a second Cup. Keeping the bank balance rolling. Just shy of a full house, but we break our Gate record, and in our own stadium. We make our second trip to Wembley for the season as we face West Brom in the Semi Final. We don't have a great record against them, so it will be a tough match, despite being Championship opposition. Up Next A tough return to League action as we host 5th place Wolves. Punch
MAR 2043 - While we were on Cup duty While we had a week off League duty preparing for our FA Cup Quarter Final, the rest of the League continued to play. Punch
MAR 2043 A cracking month as we begin with the massive upset, beating Spurs to lift the League Cup Title, while we advanced twice in the FA Cup. We also managed a draw and a win in the League, to cap an undefeated month. Our players took out both awards this month, although in fairness we only played two games. We have two players in the NXGN this year, coming in at 12th and 20th. Internationals Plenty of players on International Duty to end the month, and we had four debuts, including three in the England team. We make a small loss this month. We collect on another sell on clause. Four League games incoming, along with facing West Brom for a shot at our second straight FA Cup Final.
Punch
APR 2043 - Match Day 32 - Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers A real roller coaster of emotions in this one. We got the early goal, before Wolves dominated most of the first half, yet we scored again before the break, taking a good lead into half time. The visitors came out firing again in the second half, and while we managed to hold them out, they then scored two goals in three minutes in a crushing blow. We refused to give in through, before our bench came good, with Watson coming on to smash home a late winner, to take a massive three points, in a game we both dominated, and struggled for periods. We stay 10th, with 6 games to play. Peterborough become the first team relegated. Up Next The newly relegated Peterborough are our next opponent, as we travel to them, they are winless in 10, while we are unbeaten in 7.
Punch
APR 2043 - Match Day 33 - At Perterborough United The Posh have been awful this season, and we put them to the sword, recording our biggest Premier League win, in a brilliant display. Our defence gave them absolutely nothing, while the attack ran riot, youngster Chamberlain scoring his first Premier League hat-trick, while Finnegan scored a goal, and set up two others. We jump Chelsea on goal difference to 9th, while Blackburn become the second team relegated. Up Next A tough road trip as we face 16th place Fulham, and an old friend in Clapton. They are winless in three, while we are now unbeaten in 8.
Punch
APR 2043 - Match Day 34 - At Fulham A disappointing result as our 8 game unbeaten run comes to an end. It was a pretty bland match all around, but we somehow found ourselves two goals down at the break, despite hardly any chances being created. Our only goal came through a penalty, as we struggled to convert the few chances we did create. A loss in the make up game drops us back to 10th place. Spurs and West Ham have qualified for European action next season. Up Next On the road again as we head to 17th place Villa.

Punch
7 hours ago, ChaosClive said: Great save so far, congrats on Europe next season. Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it. Another big challenge incoming for us. 7 hours ago, ChaosClive said: Do you think Finnegan will be able to beat the all time goal record or do you think he is too far off yet? Finnegan is 25, and currently has 188 League goals, but he is still 95 goals behind Ross Allen's all time mark of 282. If he was to keep scoring at last seasons rate he would be there in a couple of years, but the goals have been shared around a lot more this season. There is also the possibility that one of the up and coming strikers over takes him as a regular starter, as while he is our best scorer, he is rated as our best striker. I know that's a lot of words, that probably didn't really answer your question While he is the most likely, he is still a long way off, and there is a lot of other factors in play.
Punch
APR 2043 - Match Day 35 - At Aston Villa It was a tougher game than the scoreline suggests, but a goal in each half was enough to get the job done, and take the three points home from Villa Park. With two of the bar we could have ended up with a bigger scoreline, but Hamilton also had a great game in goal, and the defence put on a great shift to keep the Villains scoreless. Back in the winning circle and we jump to 8th place. With three games to play, we are probably out of reach of the top six, but with our League Cup win already securing continental football next season, there is less importance on reaching that high. Up Next We have a shot at our second straight FA Cup Final as we head to Wembley to take on West Brom in the Semi Final. We don't have a great record against them from our time in the Championship, but we haven't met since we were promoted.
Punch
APR 2043 - FA Cup Semi Final - Vs West Bromwich Albion It was a hard slog, and it took a late goal, but we are off to the FA Cup Final for the second year in a row. We took an early lead, but were unable to press home our advantage to take a bigger lead, which came back to hurt us when they leveled near the half hour mark. After a tight second half, and it looking like neither side would be able to find a winner, it was again Finnegan who came off the bench to find himself in the right spot to smash home the winner, sending us through. We keep the bank balance rolling along. A huge task as we face West Ham, another side we also have a terrible record against. Up Next We return to League action as we face 13th place Southampton, who are unbeaten in 7.
Punch
APR 2043 A decent month as we win three and lose one of our League games, while we advance to our second straight FA Cup Final. Some month also from Finnegan, as he scores in every match. While we were on Cup duty Results while we were on Cup duty drop us a place back to 9th place. Our young Defender who has established himself in the first team recently, has won the Young Player of the Month award. Stats Goalkeepers Defenders Midfielders Forwards We now have four players into double figures this season, and two more that are close, which shows that while Finnegan is still our main scorer, we are not relying on him as much to be our only scorer. We remain one of the most profitable clubs in the League. A profitable month sees the bank balance continue to rise. Three League games remain and we will be trying to secure our top 10 finish. Punch
MAY 2043 - Match Day 36 - Vs Southampton We came from two goals down to level by the break, took the lead after the break, only to give it up again, as we share the points in a six goal thriller. Two goals and an assist for O'Connor as he put together a brilliant game. Conceding too many goals, which has been our crux all season, hurts us again today. A few catch up games, we move up to 8th place. We will finish higher than the 12th place of last season, which also makes the Board happy. Up Next Our final away game of the season as we travel to 19th place Blackburn.

Punch
MAY 2043 - Match Day 37 - At Blackburn Rovers A completely dominant performance as we put three past Rovers, although it should have been five or six, and it could have been seven or eight. The only downside to the day was giving up a goal, to the only shot they put on target. We remain in 8th place, and with one game remaining, we can finish no higher, but can only finish as low as 9th, which is still improvement on our 12th place finish last season. Arsenal and Man U have now qualified for Europe, with just the finishing order to be confirmed, while the last continental place, and the League title will come down to the final day. Amazingly, at the other end of the table, Bournemouth have put together three straight wins, and will go into the last day in a three way battle to avoid relegation. Up Next Our final match of the season, as we welcome the Citizens to the island. We will be keen to finish the season on a high, while they will be looking to confirm Champions League qualification.
Punch
MAY 2043 - Match Day 38 - Vs Manchester City A cracking game at Guernsey Stadium as we hold the Citizens to a draw in our final game of the season. Both sides played attacking football, so it was surprising that there was only four goals in the game. We did, however, give up the lead twice, including a late goal in the shadows of full time to concede points. It was all happening on the last day, but in the end, not a lot changed. The top half of the all won, meaning West Ham hung on to claim the title, while Liverpool will have to wait until the result of the FA Cup is in, to see where they and we fall in the European competitions. The relegation battle sides all lost, so Bournemouth's late season revival was all for nought, as they slide back to the Championship. As for us, we complete our best ever finish, first time in the top 10, and save for the Champions, we had the best attacking record in the League, but we also had the worst defensive record in the top half. We continue to show great improvement, but we also show that we have a long way to go. Up Next...nearly a months break before we get another crack at the FA Cup Final.
Punch
MAY 2043 We round out the season in decent form as we win one and draw two. I added a friendly at the end of the month to keeps the legs turning over as we build up to the FA Cup Final next month. A massive award as O'Connor is named the Young Player of the Year. We won something this year, being the most profitable transfer team in the League. Being as we only sell players, not buy, we should always be in the green, but we were a long way ahead this season. We have the lowest wage turn over in the League, but as we have the lowest wages, save only for Peterborough, that one is not really a surprise either. A higher place up the table leads to more prize money, which will help the bank balance keep ticking along. We have another friendly before the FA Cup Final. I thought it appropriate to take on LA FC, seeing as though I am using their stadium as my background for the new Guernsey Stadium
Punch
JUN 2043 - FA Cup Final Preview Our second straight FA Cup Final, and third overall, as we face West Ham. We have a terrible record against them, and it will again need to be our best ever performance if we want to lift another trophy this season. We will be without our first choice keeper, for the second straight season, as he is on international duty with Australia.
Punch
JUN 2043 - FA Cup Final - Vs West Ham United Our second straight trip to Wembley for the FA Cup Final, where we made a horrible start, and could not recover. For the second year in a row, keeper Adam Hamilton was forced to miss the Final due to international duty, and his replacement Redmond, could only watch as the Hammers took the lead in the first minute with a stunningly struck volley from the edge of the area. On 18 minutes, it was almost a carbon copy, even by the same player, as we found ourselves two goals down early. West Ham dominated for most of the match, but we did create a few chances, although we were not able to find the net. Our push for a comeback finally came back to bite us, getting caught on the counter, which killed off the game, although we did get a very late conciliation. It just wasn't our day, as the newly crowned League Champions managed to complete their double, and we were again forced to watch as our opponent lifted the trophy. We also collected a further £4 million for our share of the gate and TV revenue, making it a very good day for the bank balance. Bridesmaids again as we are beaten in the Final for the second straight season, and third time overall. Up next...time to review the season that was.

Punch
2042-2043 Season Review An impressive season where we mark our highest ever League finish, getting inside the top 10, and we lift our first trophy of the Premier League era, by winning the League Cup. We also had impressive crowd numbers in our first season back in the expanded Guernsey Stadium, selling out 16 of our 19 home games.
Punch
2042-2043 Season Review - Stats Goalkeepers With Hamilton spending plenty of time on International duty, Redmond got a lot of game time this season. Hamilton may find himself becoming a victim of his own success though, as he now has a genuine challenger for the number 1 keeper spot, as there is a push from our back room staff to promote Redmond to the number 1 spot. Defenders Midfielders Forwards Finnegan was still clearly our leading scorer, but he received a lot more support this year, as we had 5 players reach double figures, and a second reach 20 for the first time in quite a while. Finnegan is 22 League games away from breaking Docherty's all time appearances record, but still over 100 goals away from Allen's record. All stays the same in the Premier League records though, as Hamilton and Finnegan extend their respective records. Finnegan is now only 1 game behind Hamilton, so that could see a change next season as well.

Punch
2042-2043 Season Review - Attributes The favourite time of season where we get to review how the players have progressed, or not. Goalkeepers Redmond will be coming under serious consideration for the number 1 shirt this season, while we have several quality back up options. Defenders I would like to see more growth in this area, although Gudmundsson looks like he is going to be a superstar in years to come, after establishing himself as a regular in the later half of this season. Midfielders An area where we have plenty of quality options available, with plenty more coming through. We should be well served in the centre for some time to come. Forwards Again, plenty of quality options, with plenty of support acts coming through. Interesting that while Finnegan is our best scorer, he has never been our best rated forward, however, he continues to show gentle improvement. Best Squad The squad age, and the attribute average increase ever so slightly, as we continue to show steady improvement. The squad continues to come along nicely, and we continue to have plenty of options available. A big rotation might be needed next season as we throw in the challenges of European Football in the schedule as well.

Punch
JUN 2043 - Off Season Things Internationals A stack of players on duty over the month, including two debuts, as Mendes and Eriksson become our 33rd and 34th Internationals. It's been a while since any job speculation came towards me, but the media linked me with Inter, and they even came with an offer. Transfers We have already sent two players on their way. Crisostomo had fallen down the pecking order, and wanted to chase more first team football, while McNerney was unlikely to make it to our first team. I hit the Board up for this improvement a few months ago and they knocked me back, believing we were already at a high enough level, but they have now decided to do this on their own. The finances are in an excellent position to begin the season. Season Preview Boro, Leicester, and Norwich will join us next season. We will travel to newly promoted Norwich to start the season, before hosting Fulham. The Bookies have us listed dead centre of the League. Friendly season kicks off, as we head to New York for our pre-season training camp.
Punch
JUL 2043 - Pre Season Things Both our opponents in New York had to change as they had there own continental Cup duties, plus I added another game to end the month. The results were excellent, but it was more about getting plenty of minutes in legs to start what is going to be a hectic season. Internationals A couple of players still on international duty this month. The take over rumours are back on. It's been probably 12 months since it was last brought up, and nothing came of it, then just disappeared. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of it this time around. We have moved up to mid-table in the match day revenue comparison. No doubt the upgrading of, and being back in our own stadium has helped this last season. A massive month financially. We keep collecting payments from sell on clauses, which is just easy money. The big sale, as we sell Mitchell for the second time. In 2036 we sold him to Tottenham for £8 million. He only played one game for them, before finding his way to Brighton, Blackburn, Rangers, and eventually West Brom. West Brom gave him back to us as a part of a player exchange in 2041, playing a further 2 seasons for us, before wanting to move on again. When this massive offer came in, it was a no brainer to send him on his way. A crazy offer for a player who was not even really part of the regular rotation. Too good to turn down, so I took the money and sent him on his way. European Odyssey Begins - Green Lions, meet Red Lions We find out our first opponent in European competition, as we are drawn against Havnar Boltfelag, from the Faroe Islands. Ironically, they are known as the Red Lions, so it will be a big cat battle. An even longer away trip than our longest League trip to Newcastle. Our season kicks of at home in European action, before the League season kicks off just three days after the return leg of our European trip to the Faroe Islands. We are also still to find out our opponent for our League Cup defence.

Punch
AUG 2043 - League Path 3rd Qualifying Round - 1st Leg - Vs Havnar Boltfelag (Faroe Islands) We were expected to dominate, and we got the job done in some style. Our active leading goal scorer, Finnegan, kicked off our European adventure in style, smashing home four goals, while we had three others find the back of the net. Despite dominating the first half, we were only two up by the break, but the flood gates really opened in the second half as we ran riot. Our young team showed they were up to the task, and didn't suffer under the weight of expectation. Up next...we are off the the Faroe Islands for the return leg against HB. With a seven goal lead, there might be a bit of rotation, as we have our first League game just three days after.

That's great. Is the current owner actively looking to sell the club or is it merely speculative media reporting?

Punch
AUG 2043 - League Cup 2nd Round Draw We kick off our League Cup campaign, as defending Champions, in the second round. We will travel to Wrexham, who we have a great record against, although we have not met for a while.
Punch
AUG 2043 - League Path 3rd Qualifying Round - 2nd Leg - At Havnar Boltfelag We arrived in the Faroe Islands with a 7-0 lead from the 1st Leg. It was a completely rotated squad we sent out in the 2nd Leg, and the result was the exact same as the 1st. Another 7 goal thumping, giving us a 14-0 aggregate win, as the Green Lions roar into the next round, while the Red Lions crash out with a whimper. Our first European prize money arrives. We are off to Swizterland to take on Sion in the next round. This will be a shorter trip than the Faroe Islands. With the 1st Leg only a week away, our schedule has already been thrown around with our League Cup 2nd Round match being postponed to next month, while games against Fulham and Wolves have also been moved slightly. Up Next...Our League season kicks off, with just two days rest, as we travel to newly promoted Norwich.
